Great apartment for exploring Dunkirk and the surrounding area.

Location is great for fairly quick access to beach - 10 min walk - with a supermarket even closer. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is clean and fresh - a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Separate toilet and shower/bathroom are handy and all is in good working order. Although the apartment was a small space for two adults and three kids it was still just big enough for a few nights. Wardrobe and drawers offer plenty of storage. The apartment was quiet at night and cool enough despite the summer heat. We liked being tucked away on a top floor apartment but the stairs are steep so maybe not the best for those with mobility issues. Florian is a friendly and communicative host who will do his best to ensure you enjoy your stay. We had to park the car further down the street upon arrival but the next day we managed to park directly outside.

Wobbly bathroom tap and not great ventilation in bathroom for use by 5 people. A little sharp screw end by the ladder access to the upper roof bed needs blunting/cutting off to avoid risk of nasty scratches. Couldn't figure out how to close the skylight window but it was so hot and dry we didn't need to. A larger beer glass or two would be useful for sampling the delicious local brews.

There is nothing I could think of.

1-People smoke in the rooms, so all walls, furniture, everything stink and it is not possible to get rid of that smell. It is terrible for people who don’t smoke and for pets. 2-Rooms are very dirty. Some rooms have leakage on the sealing. It was so terrible that we decided not to take our clothes off and sleep with open windows because of smoke smell. 3-Bathroom is dirty. Mold everywhere. Was very careful brushing my teeth. Would never step into the bathroom without slippers. 4-every room has microwave and oven. But these are so dirty with burned black oil, that we were afraid to use them. Lucky we had in our car single use dishes, forks and knives, so we used it. 5- the owner rates the rooms as 7. And that was the only reason we have chosen it. But these rooms are max 2. So rating is FAKE!!! and most likely written by his frends. Real fotos I will post in Google maps and other trusted sources so people can know the real facts about him and his place. It’s pity that I cannot add pictures.

Bon emplacement

Le logement sentait énormément le tabac. Il y avait des trous de cendres sur les plaids. Le mur était tâché de gras. La tête de lit était en fait un radiateur caché sous un carton peint en blanc (le carton était déchiré, c'est comme ça qu'on s'en est rendus compte). Le plafond a clairement subi un dégât des eaux. La salle de bains commune était sale et tout le monde y fait sa vaisselle dans l'évier, pas très hygiénique. On entendait la personne au dessus de nous parler et éternuer, ça indique l'épaisseur des murs. La porte se fermait très difficilement (idem pour la sdb). Le four dans la chambre était dans un état innommable

Der Mann war höflich und freundlich, und obwohl das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Straße liegt, war es ruhig und ungestört. Es gibt einen Lebensmittelladen in der Nähe und das Meer ist auch nicht weit entfernt. Mein Mann und ich haben unseren Aufenthalt insgesamt genossen, und auch das Parken war problemlos

Leider war das Zimmer ein Raucherzimmer.... Das Badezimmer war mit allen notwendigen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, aber etwas schmutzig, mit Schimmel an den Fensterrahmen..

J'ai tout d'abord apprécié le contact avec notre hôte, Florian :il est avenant et bienveillant. Je bénéficiais d'une grande chambre fumeur bien organisée. Et propre. J'ai constaté qu'elle n'était pas tout à fait finie. Ça n'a en rien gêner mon séjour..

L'incivilité de certains pensionnaires.Ils se croient seuls au monde jusqu' à pas d'heure. La maison n'étant récente, on entend ceux -ci. Je ne m'arrête pas à ça. Ça n'a pas gâché mes vacances. .

Les toilettes dans la salle de bain commune à tous les "convives". On le savait à la réservation mais c'est vrai qu'avec un enfant cela peut créer une petite tension le matin.
