位置就在埔里鯉魚潭附近，走路可達景區，很悠閒的地方，也很適合晚上去看星星。 很符合「民宿」的定義(不是像現在大多民宿都是專門營業用)，這是分享自己家的空間來招待旅人，很像回到阿嬤家的感覺，溫馨懷舊，整潔度有一般家庭整潔的標準。 包棟價格不高，有飲水機、茶包咖啡包等供飲用，客廳空間大，適合親友們聚會聊天，還有卡啦ok可歡唱。 主人長輩廚藝很好，招待客人的點心很美味好吃，主人咖啡手藝很好，咖啡很好喝。
包棟格局是一間雙人套房+兩間四人雅房+一間雙人雅房，有三間雅房需共用一間衛浴。 室內無廚房，如果需要料理是在外面，需考量如果下雨天的話可能不方便烹煮。 主人家就在隔壁，長輩相當熱情好客，真的很像把我們當作親朋好友來招待的感覺，但畢竟是包棟，如果想享受獨立空間不被打擾的話可能需要委婉告知主人。
