Casa Paloma

A long overdue review! We traveled from Canada to Casa Paloma for the first few weeks of January, along with my husband, our two children (ages 5 and 9), and my in-laws. From the very beginning, the entire booking process was handled quickly and efficiently. Every question we had was answered promptly, and all arrangements were clearly communicated. As someone who appreciates organization and attention to detail, I truly valued how seamless and well-planned everything felt before we even arrived. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by two of the kindest and most gracious people we have had the pleasure of meeting, Julio and Consuelo. They are absolutely exceptional hosts. The condo itself exceeded our expectations — impeccably clean, thoughtfully laid out, and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. Julio and Consuelo consistently ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit. If you have the opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by Consuelo, do not hesitate — she is an outstanding cook, and her food was a highlight of our stay. The location is wonderful, offering both tranquility and easy access to explore the island. We highly recommend renting a golf cart — it’s not only convenient but also a fun way to experience the area. Additionally, the neighboring boat tour company, run by Honour, offers fantastic snorkeling excursions and is well worth booking. We spent an incredible 17 nights at Casa Paloma and genuinely wished we could have stayed longer. One practical tip: bring bug spray and after-bite treatment, as sand flies and mosquitoes can be active depending on the wind direction. We wholeheartedly recommend Casa Paloma for your vacation. It is a truly special place, and you will likely find it just as difficult to leave as we did.

The house was beautiful, well kept, and came with everything we could need plus more. The ground's man, Julio, and his wife were amazing! They made the house extra welcoming and took excellent care of us. Everything is exactly as pictured. All of the essentials like kitchen stuff, seasonings, beach supplies, toiletries, etc were such a pleasant surprise! On top of it all, having direct access to the beach is a gem, especially since there aren't many places that you can just walk out to the water.

We originally thought the beach access wasn't clean due to the seaweed along the shore but once we decided to explore and walk past it, we realized that the darkness we saw in the water was actually just the reef we could walk out on LOL. The only issue was the mound of seaweed acting as a barrier on the beach. Once past it, the water was clear and calm and you could walk right out. Unfortunately, we waited until our last full day to go exploring but it ended up being the best day.
