Shamak Homestay Varkala

I can confidently say this was one of the best places I stayed in India, not just the South. Anmol is a great host - he was very attentive to our needs and helped us with everything we needed, including the laundry, which is so important while you travel. The room was very spacious, well organized, impeccably clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a kitchen and a common area as well as the access to the rooftop. The location is also perfect - quite close to the cliff, but away from the hustle and bustle. There are some shops and cafes nearby. You can clearly see that a lot of love and attention goes into this place.

It has such a cozy vibe, with all the amenities you need and a very clean room. In fact, it was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The host was really cool, and the good boy Milo 🫶🏻 made the stay even better. I would totally recommend this place.

Theres nothing to not like about it man, its a total package

Had been to Varkala for a quick one day trip. Stayed at Shamak. Guys I cannot explain much. Have to visit to experience this homestay ! Quite bright and well ventilated rooms ... Crisp and clean interiors ... Last but not the least - Awesome hosts !! Felt like extended family ! The beach is just a 2 minute walk away !

Nothing to complain at all !

Everything was absolutely perfect. The place was beautiful, peaceful, clean and felt like a true home away from home. Anmol was an incredible host always available whenever needed, welcoming and genuinely caring. By far the best homestay experience I have ever had, and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Thank you again for everything! 🫶🏼
