Amorly House

The house was clean and tidy. The living room space was comfy but needed to bring in chairs from the dining room to seat the five of us. The beds were comfy. Helpful staff responded promptly to questions. Well situated for station/town.

Frosted glass in the bathroom and no blind meant it felt awkward in the shower. Paint peeling in multiple areas. Broken chairs in kitchen. Not enough wine glasses for 5 although there are some plastic ones, no other glasses for soft drinks etc.

Advertised as 4 bedrooms but one room was interconnecting room with no door off another double room so not suitable for couples. Don’t think this was clear in the description (would be ideal for. Children but not adults) Need a blind in bathroom it faces out onto street with toilet next to window and can see everything when light on in bathroom Mirror in bathroom too small Only enough comfy seating in lounge for 4 people as there’s 2 x 2 seater sofa again not suitable for 8 people Dining table only seats 6 had two extra chair in the room but no space around the table No glasses in cupboard other than wine glasses Just felt it lacked a little TLC to make it more comfortable such as bedside tables each side of bed etc and curtains that fit the windows just small touches but would much improve the experience. Booked because it had parking as it was for 8 people should have space for 2 cars struggled to park one on arrival as street so busy but did eventually get a spot and had to park other car a 20 min walk away in expensive carpark for 2 days adding extra cost. Beds a little hard but to be expected in this type of property presumably for long life of mattress . Games room nice touch but could only have 2 people in here as pool table way too big for room.

The property was clean, beds were comfy & plenty of clean towels. Kitchen was functional & had all we needed for a weekend stay. Sofas were very comfortable & we enjoyed playing darts & pool. Good location for city centre & easy to find.

The bathroom could do with a blind at the window & an extra parking permit would be useful as we had 2 cars, even if you made a charge for the 2nd permit. It is difficult to find a non permit place to park anywhere nearby.

Good location for visiting Norwich and its attractions. The house was generally clean. Getting in was easy with good communication from the host. Wifi code clear on plaque in hallway. The house has been recently decorated - all white but looks fine. Games room was good idea.

Would be helpful to have a welcome information pack. Easy to do, where things are, how to use things, some tourist info on Norwich etc this would make a huge difference to guests. The house has beds for 8 but only one bathroom, we didn't realise there was a second outside toilet until late on day 2 which was clean and nice enough but full of spiders and their webs. There are some relatively cheap improvements the host could make which would make a huge difference: Kitchen equipment: only 4 glasses, only 5 forks, frying pan and saucepans were well passed their best. Oven was a challenge to get working - simple instructions in the afore mentioned information pack would solve this. No dishwasher which would have been nice. Dining room - Table only fits 6 - its an 8 person house ! Garden, A cheap set of garden furniture would have made use of the small but tidy garden area. Bedrooms: Curtains in front bedroom don't cover side windows so light streams in. Also the wind whistled down chimney but this could just have been the direction of wind while we were there. Bathroom: Many other guests have mentioned this - there is no blind in bathroom and it faces onto the street the glass is frosted but this really should be fixed. Who wants to be viewed as they use the bathroom? Games room: Much more could be made of this - the pool table baize has been damaged - probably because none of the cues have tips on them. A few games / jigsaws from a car boot would be amazing. In fact I would swap the Games room and dining room around - put a bigger table in so 8 people can sit together. get rid of the pool table and make the current dining room into a family play room with a smaller table and games /bean bag etc.
