Pebbles Guest house

Kind staff, clean spacious room, kitchen with everything you need to cook.

I fully appreciate it was a cheap room and a low cost for an over night stay. But on arrival the front door access was not working and so I used the alternative side access which was noted in the arrival instructions. the main bedroom light did not work up on arrival but there was a lamp in the room which kept me from being totally in the dark ! The external TV arial which had snapped off its mast had come to rest on the bedroom window and every time the wind blew it smacked up against the glass, so there was no way anybody was getting any sleep !! After 20 mins the Tv arial gave up the fight with the wind and fell into the court yard below ! The room had a strong smell of drugs ( cannabis ) and upon opening one of the draws I found a empty packet of medical cannabis. I could feel every spring in that mattress when I eventually tried to get some sleep. The toilet next door to the room did not have a working light and so I had to use the light off my phone so that I could see what I was doing. In the morning when I went to use the shower room I was unable get any hot water from the shower mixer valve. On return to my room on the second night I was greeted by a group of gentleman in the lobby area that had potentially just arrived in this country and did not understand or care that making a noise until the early hours of the morning would disturb other guests. Staying at the Pebbles Guest House was one step up from sleeping in the Car.

Poor management

There was NO staff NO ONE CAME EVEN WHEN THEY INSISTED THEY WOULD NEVER GO THERE !!!!! DIRTY STAINED BED SHEET UNTIDY ROOM IT HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED THE TOP

Had to search around for the hub to get the Wi-fi password. Light not working in the toilet and no blind on the shower room.

No parking, no wi-fi, bed is uncomfortable and it had springs poking, a pile of electrical cord in the room looks so unsafe. Main front door the code doesn’t work from outside. Kettle was across the room the base on the other side..no TV, no towels in shower, no soap or shower gel , nothing..

Room was dirty, sheets were dirty, hole in wall, cold tap didn't work. I ended up booking another place and never stayed, it was disgusting!

The “Guest House” (we’ll use the term lightly) was less sanitary and accommodating than I’d imagine a stay at auschwitz was. The entrance is through a communal kitchen and then laundry room for the multi occupancy flats above. The room was filthy, stunk of smoke, ash and mould. Had paint peeling off the walls, ash and mould in the shower, drug paraphernalia bags in the toilet, filth everywhere, no central heating just a single small electric fan heater and was about as enticing as a week away with Fred and rose west. If criminals spent a week there instead of 6 months in prison luxury they would atop reoffending.
