Kalamata Natural Stone Seaview Sanctuary

We had a perfect 10/10 experience at Kalamata Natural Stone Seaview Sanctuary! What we loved: The House: Beautiful, spacious, bright, and perfectly designed. Features gorgeous solid wood carpentry, traditional window shutters, and beautiful interior decor. The Comfort: Thick stone walls provide excellent soundproofing and natural ventilation. Fully equipped, and we barely needed the AC because it stays so naturally cool. The Outdoor Space: A gorgeous yard filled with olive trees and plants. The terrace is perfect for relaxing, featuring a generous umbrella, sun loungers, seating areas, and stunning sea and mountain views. The Location: Perched on a quiet hill, completely isolated from traffic noise. The evening and morning air is wonderfully cool and fresh. The Host: Fast communication and incredible hospitality. He warmly welcomed us with a lovely surprise of wine, water, bread, jam, and butter, and gave us amazing local tips. Highly recommended! Thank you!

The privacy and seclusion were probably the best part of the stay, but the quality of the house itself was just as memorable. Almost everything felt carefully selected rather than chosen simply to furnish a rental. The kitchenware, appliances and equipment were all noticeably high quality, as were the windows, shutters and smaller functional details throughout the home. Even the beds, pillows, and linens felt closer to those of a very good hotel than to a typical holiday rental. The house felt peaceful and genuinely removed, while still being comfortable enough to spend much of the day there. There are a few homes and a road visible below the property in the distance, with limited visibility toward certain outdoor areas, but over seven days we only saw a passing car or hikers around three times. A beach was about a nine-minute drive away, and the nearest traditional bakery was around 15 minutes. You could also step outside and immediately take a 30-minute walk through the olive groves, which was especially beautiful around sunset. We also appreciated how versatile the property felt. There were several indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy at different times of day, so we never felt confined to one area. There was more than enough room for a couple, and details such as the chess set, outdoor shower and sunbeds made it feel relaxed and homelike rather than simply like a holiday rental.

The main area for improvement would be WiFi. Since mobile reception inside the house is limited cellular wifi does not work either. The living-room seating was comfortable, but the mattress-style cushions shifted frequently and needed regular readjusting. The bathtub jets were not working during our stay. None of these issues outweighed the positive experience, but they would be the main areas for improvement.

La casa molto bella, immersa in un magnifico giardino con una bellissima vista sul golfo di Kalamata. La cucina è attrezzatissima e la pulizia ottima. Clima favoloso ... mattina e sera una deliziosa aria che arriva dalle montagne. I proprietari sono disponibili per ogni necessità. Non fatevi "condizionare" da : 1) 200 metri di strada finale stretta e in salita con ultimo tratto fra gli ulivi ... NE VALE LA PENA ! 2) qualche piccolo possibile imprevisto (tempestivamente risolto dai proprietari), che può capire trattandosi di una casa di campagna ... NE VALE LA PENA ! 3) da wifi e rete cellulare che va è viene (ma anche in altri parti della zona è cosi !!! ) ... perchè un pò di silenzio internet in una location del genere ...NE VALE LA PENA !

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Kalamata Natural Stone Seaview Sanctuary. It's hard to sum up such an incredible rental/view in one review, but below are some of our top highlights. 1. The check-in was exceptional, with lots of flexibility from Ilias and Panagiotis. Ilias was incredibly accommodating and responsive throughout the entire trip, and Panagiotis was there to meet us at check-in, show us around the house, and also provided a list of local recommendations. Their hospitality was a top highlight for us, and they were always available if we had a question. 2. The view was absolutely stunning. The house is located up on a hill so you can see the bay, as well as hundreds of olive trees. We loved eating breakfast outside and taking in the views and nature. The location on the hill provides a nice breeze, which was very appreciated given the Greek summer. The house also has A/C, so there are plenty of options for staying cool. The house is very near to the tavernas of megali mantinea, which provide convenient dinner options. 3. The house itself was beautifully designed and decorated, with high ceilings, a superb kitchen, and plenty of space for everyone. Every detail was in order, from the shampoos and soaps in the shower, to the extra upstairs fridge, to the cleanliness of the space. The second we stepped into the house, we immediately felt that we were on holiday in this peaceful place. We hope to return to this spot every year, and highly recommend this rental to others!
