Futura Boutique Hostel

I’ve stayed in over 5 hostels in Singapore, and personally I feel this is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The bunk beds are very well-designed, with a locker storage area within each bed. The curtains are of high quality, ensuring guests have privacy and can rest well even if the rooms lights are turned on by other guests. If you do not physically see the other roommates and close your curtain, it feels as if you’re the only one in the room, even when there are others present. The toilets are hotel-standard, though persons with more regular sleep-wake timings might face trouble accessing them as they’re only two; thankfully my hours are atypical, and so it wasn’t an issue for me. Common area is spacious and you can tell the renovations are of very good standards. The staff seem to be pretty friendly too, and the other guests also seem to be nice people. Tiong Bahru market is a short walk away. Lots of delicious food at very, very affordable prices. There is also a 7-11 nearby so it’s very convenient.

There are only two toilets, so guests may need to wait for their turns.

Easy check in/out process. Clean. My second stat after two years, still doing perfect.

1.One of my lamp spoilt, should check before the customer check in. 2. Everyone slept early and quiet after 10pm. Quite difficult for me as I'm travelling around the city until late.

The location, the very friendly staff,free washmachine and dryer, prompt replies, the bed itself was very comfortable.

3 things: The door, it's impossible to close it quietly, so I woke up a few times each night whenever somebody had to use the restroom or checked in it was just a loud bang. My recommendation: honestly change the whole lock system + get a simple door stopper. The check in time, on 3 occasions someone checked in between 1-3 am :/ ~ it's very difficult to get back to sleep since people unzipped their luggage and made noise. Recommendation: no check ins from 12 midnight until 6 am at least. Also the safety box, it's ok because you can put a lock BUT the whole thing can be removed quickly with a screwdriver so I didn't feel comfortable leaving high value items there, Recommendation: install another small safe in each box to the wall so it can't be removed easily. If the hostel could fix these three things it's a 10 out of 10.

a guy use womens toilet which is so so off. I hope the staff could monitor this.
