The location is central and convenient. It also has decent amenities and close to other necessities. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent value and located right in the middle of Bolton, so 5min walk from wherever you're likely to be going. Staff really helpful and sound. Definitely somewhere I'd use again if back in town

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at The Courthouse Bolton from April 6th to April 9th was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others in the strongest possible terms. Avoid this place at all costs. I am not exaggerating when I say this was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. If you value your health, your sleep, and your money, do not stay here. During my stay, I discovered cockroaches in my room, something completely unacceptable in any accommodation, let alone one that takes paying guests. This was not a one off incident. After reporting it, I was moved to another room, only to find more cockroaches there as well. This clearly shows there is an ongoing infestation problem throughout the property, not just in a single room. I have evidence and photographs of this, which makes it even more shocking that management attempted to downplay the situation. As a result of this, I was unable to sleep properly for two nights. The discomfort, stress, and disgust of knowing there were cockroaches in the rooms made it impossible to relax. No guest should ever be put in that position. What made this experience even worse was the appalling way I was treated by staff and management. When I raised the issue and requested a refund, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of care. There was no urgency, no real apology, and no accountability. It was as if my experience meant nothing to them. Despite the infestation starting on Wednesday, I was told they would only refund Thursday to Friday, completely ignoring the fact that the issue affected my entire stay. This is not just poor service, it is outright unfair and dismissive. I paid for a safe and clean place to stay and that is not what I received. To make matters worse, I am still waiting for my refund. The lack of follow up and responsibility only confirms how little they value their customers. When you look at their ratings, it becomes very clear that this is not an isolated experience. The reviews speak for themselves and show a consistent pattern of poor standards, bad service, and unresolved complaints. That says everything you need to know. They may claim to stand for quality, comfort, and customer satisfaction, but my experience proves the complete opposite. There was no quality in the cleanliness, no comfort in the conditions, and absolutely no care for customer satisfaction. Those claims are meaningless when the reality is cockroaches in rooms and management that refuses to take responsibility. This was not just disappointing, it was unacceptable, unhygienic, and deeply distressing. I felt disrespected, ignored, and completely let down. Again, avoid this place at all costs. There are far better options out there where you will be treated with basic respect and not have to deal with infestations and dismissive staff. Absolutely unacceptable.
