Palheiro do Farrobo

The view from this house is breathtakingly beautiful, and you can see it from every room. The location is great and the kitchen is well equipped. The house is listed as a 2 bedroom property, but it actually has 3 bedrooms.

We were very disappointed to find only one, very small, shower. There was no picture of the shower on Booking, so we found out about it only when we arrived. That house can occupy 4-6, even 8 people, but having 1 tiny shower is not enough. I think that adding an additional shower, would take this property from 8 to 10

Superb location, high in the mountains with a view on the sea.

Wifi did not work at all for us. Some odour coming from the bathroom. And overall house can be pretty cold.

Fabulous long, partially covered terrace with amazing views of the coast looking west with plenty seating and tables. Good location, parking, secure, good instructions for access. All household facilities provided. Spacious kitchen and living room with large, comfy adjustable sofa. Hygienically clean.

The smell. Combination of structural (rising?) damp and sewerage. Sewer odour worst in upstairs toilet. Cannot be blamed on paper in the toilet, is a structural problem. Cannot be fixed with an airing. Decor a bit old and tired. Shower tiny, though powerful and in the smelliest room. If you can stand the smell, it's an ok property overall. If you can risk insect bites (you can get bitten, but mosquitoes are less common than you might expect), sit and sleep with all doors and windows open. Wish I'd read reviews more closely.
