Wonderful flat by sea chez Monique

The location is literally across the street from the sea. There is parking through a gate that needs to be opened with keys, which were left for us in a secure location. The flat is the topmost floor of a villa, accessible by four flights of broad stairs. There is no A/C, and there was one fan. The many windows offer a good possibility for a cross breeze, and buffer the traffic noise at night if you close them. The sea is visible from all the windows. There is a balcony behind the kitchen that is a little shadier, and has more traffic noise. The apartment is accessed from a huge terrace with sun loungers and a large table with chairs, and a roll out awning. I found cushions in the closet for the chairs. Two empty buildings that are not habitable (pending demolition, or unfinished construction?) are visible from the terrace. The terrace affords plenty of privacy for sunbathing, since those buildings aren't occupied. Instead of a dishwasher, there is a large drying rack for dishes above the sink, built into a closet. Never seen that before. Good to know it's there if you plan on cooking. Communication was friendly and informative.

Don't leave your food unattended on the terrace. The seagulls need only a moment to swoop down.

Het is een ruim en comfortabel appartement met een prachtig groot balkon met uitzicht op zee.

Een bezwaar is dat direct achter het huis een drukke weg loopt . Vooral op het (fraaie ) balkon is dat aldoor merkbaar. De keuken is wat gedateerd en bezwaarlijk is dat een vaatwasser en een goed koffiezetapparaat ontbreken. Jammer dat er geen mogelijkheid is Netflix te zien.
