Overpriced for the Condition – Would Not Recommend

This is our honest review. I really wish I had seen a review like this before booking. The location is not ideal: the house is directly in front of a graveyard and access is only possible via a very narrow metal bridge, which is difficult to use. The swimming pool was dirty during our stay. The pump wasn’t working properly, and instead of repairing it, the owner removed the filter entirely — meaning there was no filtration. The water in the pump pipes was green, so we decided not to use the pool at all. When we arrived, we found a mouse in the kitchen. There were also lots of ants throughout the property, especially in the kitchen and living room. The entrance door handle was damaged, and the front door could only be closed if locked. The owner tried to repair it, but the fix didn’t last. The shower doors were broken, and many cupboards were either missing handles or damaged. Overall, the property did not match the standard shown in the pictures and description. The stay felt overpriced — I’m not sure I would even pay half of what we did for this experience. On a positive note, the owner was responsive and did come to try fixing the door, as well as installing something under it to prevent mice from entering. He was friendly and tried to help, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing.

A little Italian escape surrounded by cyprus and palm trees.

I liked the location, felt close to nature, but a very short walk to Bordighera Alta and the harbour. The pool is small, but perfect to cool down in and the kids loved it. The outside dining table was cute and the kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable and plenty of towels.

The umbrella was broken and the outside furniture on one of the tables not so comfortable. The driveway is a little tight to get in and out of, but that's because we had a wide car.

Directions, satnav did not recognise. Only one bedroom, curtain to provide privacy in 2nd bedroom area. Not ideal! Splash pool not cleaned or filled, Entrance in need of refurbishment, surrounding derelict buildings did not give feeling of being in natural beauty area. It states views of sea infact overlooked British cemetery. If directions had stated this could have found it! Only view of sea was if next craned on corner of patio.

Tranquil and authentic

Location was great. Within a short walk to the sea and lovely views of the hill with the palm trees lovely to hear the frogs at night and other animals. Lovely town nearby and exotic gardens short walk away. Great food shop at the end of the road. House at great maps and leaflets. All you needed to cook! Very nice!

but wasn’t aware it was opposite a large graveyard with regular funeral processions, to walk to restaurants or town either a costal walk which you couldn’t do at night due to terrain or on The main road. The hill up to the old town was worth it. Great restaurants.

Lage des Hauses. Umschwung ums Haus mit Sitzplätzen mit den Hunden Ideal. Kaffeemaschine (Nespresso) war vorhanden. Pool beim Haus. 20 Minuten zu Fuss zur Stadt. Landschaft ist schön. Einfache Schlüsselabgabe.

Besteck fehlte teilweise (keine Messer - haben wir dann gekauft). Geschirr war etwas unsauber. Überwurf auf dem Klappsofa im Wohnzimmer unsauber und nicht wirklich bequeme Stühle. Auch im Aussenbereich etwas unbequeme Stühle, dafür zwei kleine Liegestühle. Einfahrt zum Haus war etwas eng. Mit grossen Fahrzeug wäre es schwierig.

La climatisation

Odeur d’égouts, barbecue pas fonctionnel, piscine sale, aucun entretien des espaces verts. A l’intérieur : électroménager vétuste, rouillé, la cafetière fuit de partout, le frigo est rouillé et ne refroidit pas, les plaques de cuisson sont rouillées aussi. La vaisselle était collée aux étagères. Pas de pression à la douche. Salon minuscule, pas adapté pour 4 personnes. Dans l’ensemble le logement n’est pas du tout fonctionnel. Les photos de l’annonce sont trompeuses.
