If you are looking for a quiet, clean reasonably priced, modest place to stay for a couple of nights, then this can be for you. It does have air-con and excellent views.

There are no buses or trains in the vicinity and 8km from the city centre. You will need a car and have to park on the road. There is a 100 meter uphill rough path to the property. Therefore if you have suit cases, good luck. The flat is also on the top floor, and there is no lift.

Beautiful apartment - very spacious and attractively decorated and furnished. Kitchen was well equipped for self-catering, with basics such as cooking oil and salt provided, plus a range of herbs and spices. Great location for those travelling with a car and requiring parking. Parking was on the street outside, but free. Buses to the city centre were frequent and quite cheap. However I was unable to purchase tickets on the BudapestGO app, which rejected both my overseas debit cards, so we bought a block of single tickets in the city. WiFi worked well throughout the apartment.

When we arrived the keypad at the outside gate wasn't working. We weren't the only ones who had the problem, as other residents of the building were also locked out. Luckily someone inside heard the buzzer in our apartment and kindly came down to the gate to let us in. But if we had arrived late we may have ended up sleeping in the car! The keypad then worked intermittently throughout our stay - sometimes it was fine, other times not. This was reported but was not fixed by the time we left. On our second night we were woken at 1:30 am by the entry buzzer in the apartment. I think this was probably another resident trying and failing to open the gate. I didn't receive the online check-in instructions email three days before the booking as I was told I would, so had to send a reminder the day before my booking started. This may be a process issue for bookings made at short notice. There is a huge TV but no information on how to use it. We wanted to watch the World Cup final on free-to-air TV, but this did not seem to be possible. If it is, some instructions would be useful. Bedroom curtains are too small and too thin so they don't block the sunlight in the morning. Suggest buying some blackout curtains, which don't cost much. As there is a washing machine, it would be a nice touch to provide some detergent - at least enough for one load of laundry so guests don't have to buy a full box just for one load.

The apartment is big enough and silent area

The carpet was covered in hair and clearly in need of a thorough cleaning. The bed and shelter were old and uncomfortable. Although it’s listed as having free parking, you’re not allowed to use the garage—they only allow street parking. Be aware that checkout is strictly at 10 AM, with no flexibility, not even a 10-minute grace period. Communication with the host is very rigid; any requests are met with a firm “no.”
