Exceptional location and value for money.
The decoration and some furnishings are a little tired.

Dirty, the host did not answer his phone on the evening we arrived at all. I have submitted a request for a full refund which you have ignored. I will always look at other sites first as speaking to a chat box is painfully slow and nobody in booking seems to take any responsibility.

Nice everyone could chat in the living room
The property didn’t state that you had 83 stairs to locate the flat, and then you also had the two sets of stairs on the fire escape to get to the flat. We had someone on crutches and struggled alot to get to the room. The stairs had stains all up them, hand rails broken, a boiler just sitting on one of the stairs landings. The flat stunk of fish or like stale nappies. Ripped wallpaper, broken freezer drawers, fan was clogged with dust, kitchen doors misshapen, shower had bleach marks all over it, bottom of sink was hanging off. Only two toilet rolls for a two night stay for up to 8 people, “toiletries supplied” was a bottle of 2 in one shampoo! Bottom of kettle was dirty tried to scrub it but nothing could get it off it was like limescale. Other peoples belongings were left and stuffed in the boiler room

We did not like anything.
Everything. The access was horrendous. The stairwell was disgusting and filthy, with old shoes and an old rusty boiler blocking one landing. There were 75 steps to the flat, and this was never detailed. One of the group has a bad hip and she really struggled. Entering the apartment, we were shocked. The first thing that hit you was the smell. The floors and windows were filthy. You could not even see through some of them. The whole place was in such a bad state of repair. The photos were clearly taken years ago when it was newly furnished. The bathroom was directly off the lounge with no window, and the ventilation duct did not work. Mind you, this was probably a blessing as the duct goes out into the kitchen, which I am sure is against regulations. The shelves in the fridge were unsafe, and the drawers of the freezer were damaged. We had to defrost the freezer as the door would not shut due to huge ice buildup. Kitchen doors were hanging off, the sink pedestal in the bathroom was broken and the toilet was leaking. The beds were more for children with wafer-thin mattresses. We spoke to the management company on the phone as they are not local, and asked to be relocated but they could not oblige at such short notice. The owners gave us a 100-pound refund, which was a joke. We had no option to stay the weekend as despite trying we could not find a hotel or apartment for 6 of us. If it had been a very cheap price, then we would have expected to slum it but it wasn't cheap in our opinion. There was not even a paper with information on about fire escapes, bins, wifi codes etc. It ruined the whole weekend which was a 30 year university reunion that we had all been looking forward to.

Central location
If you're ever wandering through Newcastle and thinking, "I'd love to haul myself up four flights of grimy stairs that smell like a bong got into a fight with a moldy gym sock," then boy, do I have the place for you.
Described as a "loft gem," this place has all the sparkle of a discarded mattress behind a kebab shop. Let’s start with the climb: four floors up the most depressingly stained carpeted staircase I’ve ever seen — think CSI crime scene meets student housing after a fresher's week apocalypse. By the time you reach the door, you’ll feel like you’ve scaled Mount Doom, only with less chance of fresh air and more chance of catching something mysterious.
Inside, things somehow manage to get worse. The beds — if you can call them that — are basically a cruel test of your spinal resilience. I'm convinced they were made from recycled ironing boards. Sleep? Only if you're unconscious.
And then there’s the aroma. This place reeked of weed like Snoop Dogg had just finished hosting a hotbox-themed yoga retreat. Don’t get me wrong, I'm not against herbal lifestyles — but this was less incense and chill, more “someone’s growing a forest in the walls.”
The windows were so filthy they looked like they’d been tinted with despair. You could barely see out — which, to be fair, saved you from the visual trauma of the staircase again. But who needs a view when you’ve got front-row seats to the neighbours’ nightly rock concert? Yes, we were treated to a live performance from the band next door — full drum kit, full volume, zero shame. It was like staying above a rehearsal studio, except less soundproofed and more deeply regrettable.
Grubby surfaces, questionable stains, and a general sense that everything needs either a deep clean or an exorcism round out the experience. If this is a "gem," then I guess it's an uncut, unsorted, totally unpolished lump of despair.

Nothing
Unclean - we didn’t stay and booked another hotel. We’re still fighting to get our money back. The place looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned for years. The entrance has a broken set of post boxes with tons of unopened post. Dirty carpets, dirty windows, dirty shower and kitchen . We were offered £30 refund as a good will gesture which is a cheek when we couldn’t stay there and had to pay another £150 for a different hotel. Thankfully we were there on a Wednesday so there were other hotels available, I’d hate to think what would have happened if it was a weekend.

Good location and nice views. Rooms were a good size.
It was fairly grubby. We found other people's dirty boxers and socks... the shower felt like it hadn't been cleaned and there was dust everywhere. When we moved one of the sofas there was old food under it. The general paint is peeling and scratched and it just needs some love. Also there was a lot of stairs to get to the apartment and I while I understand it's a loft apartment I think it would've been better if that was listed in the details. One of our group members struggles with stairs and we most likely couldve made a better choice based on that information alone.

Great location, clean and tidy with enough appliances and equipment to stay for a week!
- broken beds
- no heating in one bedroom made that room really cold!
- only 2 forks for a place that sleeps 8 people
- hand soap could be provided

The location was good
There has obviously been some previous damage by other guest. The bathroom door was warped, the kitchen cupboards looked like they had seen better days and there was a couple of the fittings that looked partly broken. It appeared clean but the floors were dirty. My friend had been walking round in a pair of white socks. After just a few minutes they were dirty. The beds were clean and there were clean towels. There was a few cobwebs on the light fitting’s where I slept.
