Dina’s Flower House

Our hosts, Mohammed and his wife, Dina are AWESOME!!! We were traveling with 2 small dogs and had A LOT of luggage. We got off at the wrong train station (a 15 minute drive from the house) and Mohammed picked us up!! Then, to top it off, by the time we arrived and got settled the only grocery store in town was closed. Mohammed picked up food and wine and he and his wife dropped it off for us so we could have dinner!! I mean, talk about service!! Location was beautiful and quiet, however you need some mode of transportation to get up the hill. Going down is fine (although steep) but it was so HOT during the last week in August, so walking back up was not an option (especially with the dogs). We rented E-Bikes at the grocery store which was perfect. Awesome view from bedroom window, and the patio was really nice, complete with a tomato plant and flowers. The bed was comfortable (more on the firm side - like a tempurpedicish). We loved Lierna, and I'm so glad I decided not to rent in Bellagio or Varenna which are the "hot spots". We rented a boat at the suggestion of Mohammed (the apartment is stocked with pamphlets for things to do). We went out on Lake Como for 3 hours, after getting sandwiches and fruit at Il Buono (specialty food store in town across from the market). It was perfection!

The apartment is darling, however we were there when it was really hot, so the things we didn't care for were: 1. only air conditioning in the bedroom located on the 3rd floor - I will add the AC was brand new and really did it's job. 2. The bathroom and living room are on the main level, and kitchen is a flight of stairs below that. So three flights of stairs. We are in our late 50's early 60's and fairly fit, so it was fine. I really would not have minded it at all if the weather was cooler. It was hard on our dogs because they are little, so we just kept a water bowl on every floor and on the patio and they learned to stay on the 3rd floor where it was cooler!! There is a large portable fan in the living room which I moved depending on the room I was in. This isn't a "complaint", just letting others know in advance.

J’ai absolument tout aimé ! La maison est magnifique, très propre, parfaitement équipée et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. L’accueil a été chaleureux et professionnel, et chaque détail a été pensé pour offrir un séjour agréable et confortable. L’emplacement est également idéal, calme et pratique pour profiter pleinement du séjour . Je recommande fortement

Rien du tout, tout était parfait.

C’était très confortable,la literie était impeccable pour le lit adulte Ensuite nos 2 ados ont dormi dans un canapé lit qui leur a convenu Eux avaient un ventilateur et nous la climatisation La cuisine est t’es bien équipée Nous avons pu venir en voiture jusqu’à la maison pour poser les bagages et c’était très facile de se garer Notre hôte a été très réactif à tout

Malheureusement nous avons été très dérangé par des voisins extrêmement bruyants et ce jusqu’à 2h du matin Ils se disputaient beaucoup et criaient Même fenêtres fermées c’était lourd…. Mais bien sur personne n’y est pour rien et j’imagine que c’est exceptionnel… en tout je l’espère pour les habitants
