Barn Cottage - North East Escapes

Location is great. A fifteen minute walk across the fields into Bamburgh where there are lovely pubs and cafes. Also the facilities at the property are great. Table tennis, tennis, hot tub, garden are all ideal though shared. Miniature donkeys are in the field behind and give you a lovely welcome when they see you. A good base to visit the Northumberland coastline, we had a lovely visit to Lindisfarne, the castle was amazing inside and out. Bamburgh castle is beautiful as is the beach and the dunes.

The WiFi is poor and only worked in the living room. We stayed in Barn Cottage, the property needs a deep clean. It was dusty, dirty and lots of cobwebs. There was also broken glass under one of the sofas.

We enjoyed the location and facilities on offer.

The fact no where on the booking description does it state you have somebody above you, we wanted tranquil break but with people above arguing and banging in the evening our experience was spoilt -especially since we had 3 month old baby with us, had we known we had people aboce property we would never of booked -also wifi very weak outside of living room

Spacious Fully equipped kitchen Large conservatory opening on to garden Very warm

Nothing really apart from decor but that didn’t affect our stay

Great location. Barn was a good size.

It was absolutely freezing in the bedrooms at night time, we struck unlucky with upstairs guests who were arguing and slamming doors late at night. Some of the gym equipment was not working but we weren't made aware of this and when contacted Neil on the number provided there was no response. One bedroom light wasn't working. And the bath water wasn't hot enough for a bath and also rather cloudy/off colour.
