Cowslip

It was spacious, clean and everything we would need for a family of 5. The area was quiet and the outdoor space was lovely to sit in. Not too far from amenities and we were able to explore lots of the local area. First time visitors and will definitely be back!

We loved everything about cowslip, it had everything you could possibly need for a weeks holiday. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of seating too. As for the location we couldn’t have asked for better close enough to Bamburgh that you could see the castle , but in a quiet area that allowed us to enjoy the amazing evening skies.

It was sold to us as accessible. On arrival there was a deep step to gain entry. The living area was large and airy. The bedroom however was too narrow to get a wheelchair round the bed to get to the shower room and toilet. There were no handles to enable safe transfer. The transfer aid was not able to get safely to the toilet as it had to be turned to face the toilet in a room which was too narrow. We had to have the shower door removed so we could get the shower chair into the shower nevermind the user! (He is barely 11stone! ) The whole experience of going to the loo and bed was very stressful and ruined the holiday for us and the other guests.
