Clifton Views

Absolutely loved our stay at Clifton Views. The booking process was straight forward, we were provided with all the information we needed prior to our arrival, including parking. We loved the property, it was so spacious and had everything we needed. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so we spent a lot of time on the beautiful balcony, it was like being abroad. We had our morning tea/coffee on the balcony and then breakfast. Then in the evenings before going out to dinner, we enjoyed a nice glass of wine out there whilst enjoying the most beautiful views. The beds were comfy, as was the sofas. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had such a great relaxing weekend, which was just what we needed, with some beautiful walks and delicious meals out. A plus for me as well, as it was only 2 of us staying, I was able to get a good night's sleep by moving into one of the spare rooms when my husband's snoring got too much! Added bonus.

We loved the place and nothing ruined our stay.. If I could make any suggestions for improvement, it would only be the shower. My husband has broad shoulders, so he could barely fit in, but luckily there was a bath so he could get washed. I'm not a large person and I found it snug. I think if the shower was changed to a square rather than a rounded one, this would solve the space problem. It really wasn't an issue for us though, so its by no means a complaint. It would just make the property perfect with this amendment.

The location was perfect and the views of the English Channel and France were spectacular.

The stairs to the 5th floor. No lift available. On the bright side my exercise app gave me extra credit for flights of stairs walked up.

Amazing views from property , area really lovely lots of things to see within walking distance we didn’t have to take the car out for the 3 days we were there. Very relaxing and Folkestone is very pretty .

Beds a bit small and soft

The views are stunning. We were fortunate to have a stunning weekend of weather, which always helps. The position on the Leas is brilliant, for walks to Sandgate or into Folkestone, where there is a great selection of restai=urants and shops.

A particular concern was the state of the shower. It is small, it is old, a wheel fell off the doors (replaced), it could do with a deep clean, and the shower head was a disaster - spraying in all directions until a degree of control was achieved. To be honest, it is below standard and should be replaced. Furniture and fitting adequate - but dated. Some people would be daunted by the many steps to the top floor.
