Hanok Hotel DAAM Seoul

Beautifully designed, clean and well maintained hotel in great location next to the most famous sights, very close to metro station as well. Neighbourhood is still quiet during the night. We booked long time before arrival, so price was also very good. Also, we got a free spa coupons. :)

Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointment as well as big TV screen with sports games on during the buffet...it totally killed the atmosphere. If you plan to wash your clothes during the stay, please note, they have only one wash mashine and tumble dry on men's and on women's floor, it took me few tries until I found it free to use.

Uber can find it easily, not far from Jogyesa where some tours start or stop. Breakfast is really good. Laundry services available. Elevator work, you'll have to take your shoes off after exiting the elevator on your floor, slippers (super thin, disposable) are provided. Showers were good, easy to operate. Toilet had a dozen buttons to clean and dry your bum. Bathrobe and towel provided. Also the liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner in pump bottles in the shower were actually really good. You won't need your own.

I should have gotten a room instead of a bunk, in order to spread out my stuff more. You might wake up your bunk mates if you are packing in the early morning or late at night. If you're staying longer than a couple nights, get a bigger room.

It’s an ok place for a short stay. Clean and cozy enough.

The older gentleman at the reception came across as a bit passive-aggressive, which made us feel somewhat uncomfortable. When we asked a few questions, he didn’t seem very open to helping and instead became defensive and sidetracked at times. The room itself was clean, though the air felt quite stuffy. Also, while the property is styled to resemble a hanok, it appears to be a renovated space rather than a traditional one.
