Lovely room spotless and lovely staff in a great location

Breakfast was very good with a good selection and everything was very well laid out. Room was very comfortable and just what you need for a few nights. Felt very safe and secure. Staff were lovely and so helpful. We ate at the restaurant and it was lovely too

Smoke detector was right outside the bathroom door so was set off by the steam despite the fan on and a warning sign. Parking was ok but you had to look around and on street was limited times however the location makes this understandable

This was a lovely hotel and I was really impressed overall. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable, and the bathroom in particular was lovely and felt very fresh and up to date. I also received great communication from the staff ahead of my arrival, which made the whole check-in process feel very straightforward. The hotel generally appeared to be very clean and well looked after. The only small downside was that the hallway and staircase could perhaps do with a bit of a freshen-up, as these areas didn’t quite match the modern feel of the rooms.

The hotel is located above an Indian restaurant and, as I’m not a fan of Indian cuisine, I found the smell of food coming into the room quite off-putting at times. The breakfast options were also quite limited, so I chose not to have breakfast at the hotel. The biggest issue for me was the parking. There is no hotel car park and, other than trying to find on-street parking nearby, there didn’t seem to be anywhere else to park. I just wish both of these points had been made clearer on the website beforehand, as it would have been useful to know when planning our stay.
