The Ayrshire and Galloway

On first arrival i was met by a lovely receptionist who was very welcoming and informative about the facilities etc...the room was nicely decorated and spacious added bonus of having a bath..I ventured down to have food and was met by a lovely member of staff i think her name was amy she was everywhere from the bar to the kitchen delivering food to the tables and always smiling no matter what time of day it was a valued member of staff...the food was absolutely delicious i opted for two courses but that turned into a three course meal with the added dessert the macaroni cheese is a must it was perfect and good balance of flavour 😀...I enjoyed it so much I added an extra night whenever I return to ayr i will definitely use this as my base perfectly located a short walk from the train station and the main high street and a nice walk down towards to beach.

There wasn't much I didn't like just a few rowdy people on my floor which was quickly addressed by the night porter.

The 3 course dinner was something to die for and the price was fantastic!

About 9pm on my second night the pub next door started playing very loud music, this did not stop till very late.

Great room loved the bathroom

No lift i struggled due to suffering with sciatica but I coped

The location was perfect close to everything. The staff were great polite and helpful. The shower was amazing. The food was lovely.

On arrival had to wait for bar staff to check me in. No lifts to upper floors when u have limited mobility. Only 1 member of staff on in the evening's to cover the bar;restaurant, answering calls to book guests in.
