We had a lovely room, the hosts were excellent, very friendly and helpful. They helped us with parking and the concierge met us to help with our luggage as the hotel is in a pedestrianized zone. The hotel is right in the middle of old ten Split which is lovely.

We spent five of the most wonderful days of our holiday at this lovely boutique hotel, and none of us wanted to leave at the end. Everything about this lovely hotel exceeds expectations, from the accommodations, to the food and the outstanding service. If you want to be pampered on your visit to Split, you must book the Hotel Makaran! We loved it so much that we actually cancelled one of our day trip excursions so that we could have time for an authentic cooking experience on the beautiful rooftop with Mario and Baba. We cooked, ate and drank the best Croatian food & wines - the experience could not have been better! In addition, Ivan was the most incredibly attentive service provider, offering us insider tips to make our time in Split extra special! Also, the 4 course breakfast is exceptional!
We wish all who stay here as lovely a time as we had! We cannot wait to return!
