To start the staff is absolutely kind and hospitable. They really make you feel at home even if you’re 1000s of miles from it. Second, the actual hotel and scenery is out of a dream. An actual fairy tale! It made me fall in love with Japan even more. Third, everything was super clean and neat. And lastly, the complimentary items were just unbelievable! I will recommend anyone and everyone to this beautiful place. I will forever be grateful for everyone there!

Staying here was the best decision because we were surrounded by nature and the vibe of the hotel is very calm and peaceful. The breakfast was 10/10!! If you are into trail running and hiking, there is a very beautiful 10k trail up the mountain very near the hotel (about 5 minutes away walking). This hotel is definitely one of my highlights from Japan.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is a bit out of the way but great if you want a quieter location away from the busy city. The hotel garden was a real delight as was the private sauna. It was beautiful to walk along the river and see the trees on the mountain. We loved the Japanese breakfast, the samue clothes and sandals they supply. We ate dinner there one night and it was fine but not outstanding and the price was high for the small portions. It’s worth noting that there are very few affordable eating options walking distance from the hotel. There is a 7/11 with quick eats. And the best way to get there from the city is by taxi. We didn’t like that there were no hooks to hang towels on. And it was strange to not have hand soap in the toilet room to wash your hands properly. The hotel staff were so gracious and responsive. And we loved the daily inari treat, and being able to sit at the bar downstairs for complimentary drinks. A very luxurious hotel. Thank you!

Absolutely adored my stay here only wish it was longer. Nicely remote because I find the tourists in Kyoto quite overwhelming and the sauna was lovely. Breakfast was also amazing and they accommodated my allergies without stress.
