We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Screen Hotel. The hotel has a unique character and atmosphere that made our visit memorable. We especially loved the restaurant—the dinner was truly outstanding and worthy of a five-star rating. The food, presentation, and service were all exceptional. We highly recommend both the hotel and its restaurant to anyone looking for a special experience.

This hotel has the perfect location and size. It is a little bit tired, though the rooms are very interesting. Would stay again.

We stayed in Kyoto for just a few days. We wanted to be close to transit, shopping, restaurants but out of the main streets that were always busy. This offered the perfect combination. Our room was spacious with a lounge area complete with a record player and a variety of records to choose from - great for rest periods. The hotel staff were friendly, kind and the most helpful we experienced in our travels across Japan. Will return here if we ever visit Kyoto again.

Beautiful rooms with lots of really nice amenities including a repeatedly stocked fridge of drinks. Great jacuzzi style bath which was a huge relief after lots of days of walking to temples!
