I loved staying at the Princess, I previously stayed at the one in Punta Cana so I was so pleased that Playa Del Carmen was even better, the staff was so pleasant and inviting. The food is great, I love how they incorporate authentic Mexican dishes as well as many other cuisines. The only downside was the sargassum, the beaches were dirty and we were able to swim, that was a huge bummer for me. I really wish the resort made a bigger effort to try and clear it from the sand or have some barriers but I guess you can’t do much about Mother Nature.

Overall, we had a great experience in regards to what the resort had to offer. We enjoyed all our meals, the pools, the shows, but most of all the newly renovated rooms! However, be weary of seaweed season! It completely engulfed the beach, smelled of rotten eggs, and we were not allowed to dip in. Nonetheless, that is not a fault of the resort but the season.

Overall nice place. A lot wild animals and trees with plants. Food descent. For sure Platinum not worth it. Deluxe way better rooms and there's terrible smell of sewage around Platinum area. Platinum buffet small with less to choose than regular buffet. They charge me extra 1200$ for Platinum and wasn't worth it even for free.
