    Upon our arrival, the lobby desk receptionist was very kind and patient. I had trouble locating my confirmation, and a line was forming behind me, I insisted he take the others but he insisted he continue to help me. We found my reservation shortly after. This is my second time staying at this location and enjoyed both stays

    This hotel is nice and really has everything you need, so there’s no reason to leave—bars, a restaurant, a good enough fitness center. However, the location is so perfect for easy walk out access to the river walk, why stay? If you’re on a floor higher than 10 and have a river view room, you will have to look straight down for just a glimpse. Tips: Park in the St Mary’s Garage, $5 after 5 pm on Fridays. Otherwise $10. You do pay every time you exit. 4 minute walk to hotel. Fire stick or external streaming devices are blocked on their WiFi, so use a hotspot. Ask for a corner room. You may have a small daily upgrade fee, but it’s worth it for an extra couple hundred square feet.

    The online parking price to the hotel valet is not accurate upon checking in. Apparently, the cost varies day to day. Ridiculous! There is parking on Market street for a lot cheaper, but it makes it difficult when loading your luggage across the busy street. Everything about this hotel seemed overrated based on the online reviews. From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. Check-in was extremely slow, and the entrance was not nearly as appealing as portrayed online. The elevators were very hot, and it felt as though the air conditioning was not functioning properly, as the entire building was warm and humid. Our room was also not very clean upon arrival. Because we were traveling with two dogs, we were placed on the 16th floor, which made trips in and out of the hotel extremely inconvenient. We also made a reservation at the hotel restaurant Domingo and were surprised to learn they were not accepting credit cards. Apparently, the payment system was down. The restaurant’s layout and entrance created constant foot traffic, making it feel chaotic rather than upscale. While the food was decent, the service was slow, and our waitstaff was not particularly attentive or accommodating. We chose this hotel for our anniversary because of all the positive reviews and hype surrounding it, but the experience fell far short of expectations. There was no acknowledgment of our special occasion—not even a simple congratulatory comment or small dessert gesture. Overall, the hotel was average at best and did not deliver the quality or experience it advertises online. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
