We stayed here for three nights as a family of four (two young children, aged 5 + 7). We had the room named Avant Garde, which had a lovely four-poster and a large sofa bed. The room was a mezzanine, with shower and sinks upstairs, toilet, sleeping/living/kitchenette downstairs.
Pros: Excellent concierge who went out of his way to help us and was very kind eg arranged our airport taxi, gave us a late check-out without us even asking, arranged for cleaning staff to immediately sort out whatever we needed in our room
Fantastic location in Monastiraki, a buzzing part of Athens, with shops, restaurants bars and sights all on your doorstep (note, for some, this may not be a plus, especially as it could get noisy until late into the night)
The shower and bed were both lovely
There's a smart TV for when you (the kids!) need downtime from the heat and walking around
Cons: The room is half-hotel, half-apartment so whilst some things are provided to make it an apartment (toaster, crockery, cutlery), there's not much space to realistically make much food and it's not fully-equipped
Distinct lack of USB and USB-c charging points - something that's a must in modern-day hotels
Toilet was windowless and a bit dark
The room is splt-level, with steep stairs and beams that my husband and I kept banging our heads on (neither of us is particularly tall!)
Could have done with a washing machine!
Overall, I'd recommend and would consider staying here again if for 2-3 nights. If travelling longer than that with young kids, I'd be looking for somewhere more fully-equipped.

This is a guaranteed comfortable and high quality stay, and it's why they stay heavily booked. I've had the pleasure of reserving different room types, though my favorites are the one-level on floor 1 with balconies. George and team make is 6*s every single time.

I've stayed in a few of their rooms, and all of them are charming and comfortable. It's a stay that has soul. The team go above and beyond to be kind and helpful.
