Hugo’s Boutique Hotel is certainly a place with character. The location is excellent, making it easy to enjoy everything around. The rooms are spacious and stylish, with a large and comfortable bathroom that adds to the feeling of comfort and indulgence.
Breakfast was a true highlight :varied, beautifully presented, and genuinely delicious. The spa area also provided a lovely opportunity to relax and recharge.
There were a couple of small points worth mentioning. There was an unpleasant smell in the corridor during my stay, and in my room the ventilation system ran throughout the night without the option to switch it off. The noise made sleeping slightly difficult, though this may have been specific to my room.
Service-wise, my experience varied. Upon arrival, I wished to store my bag before check-in, and while no male reception staff offered assistance, a kind female colleague did ,which I appreciated, even though I declined. Small gestures of attentiveness and empathy, especially at the front desk, can truly elevate the guest experience and make one feel especially welcome.
On departure, however, the atmosphere was wonderful :warm, friendly, and attentive. A heartfelt thank you to Yue and Ahmed for their kindness and professionalism; they made a lasting positive impression.
Overall, it was a beautiful holiday, and I am grateful for the stay. With just a little more attention to consistency in service details, the experience could become truly exceptional.

The hotel collects a deposit upon check-in but you have to wait up to 14 days for the deposit to be returned to your account..??? scam!
