We originally 'thought' we had booked the Hugo Boutique hotel, but ended up at the H Hotel. They are all owned by the same local group - not sure if this was due to the hotel or Expedia.
St Julian's is the 'party' area of Malta. If you're looking for a quiet vacation, this would not be the choice for you, bars are open until 5AM. If you want to be in the middle of things, this would be perfect.
The hotel has a breakfast buffet, which was excellent. The pool is on the roof of the tower. Seating directly around the pool is limited, but they've done a great job of covered and additional seating. Note, there are parties on the rooftop most nights, in season. There are plenty of food and beverage options too.
Hugo's owns a number of the restaurant's in their direct vicinity. We loved their Sushi Lounge. There are a number of other restaurants and shopping in the area too.
It's also convenient for various tours.
