On the 25th, we waited for the airport shuttle from 7:05 to 7:48 in the cold winter, while other shuttles came every 10 minutes. Ridiculous. Never again will we stay in a “budget” hotel. It was not cheap, yet the stay was completely inappropriate for the price we paid. We regret choosing this hotel.

Once full it leaves, it leaves the first hotel and then goes to the budget one, usually all the seats are gone by the time it gets to the budget ibis.

First room smelled of raw sewage. Requested different room. Second room had someone’s left over eyelashes on a latter to bunk bed. The bed itself was gross with food debris left under sheets. Overall gross stay.

We took the shuttle from the airport and it was easy to find, on time and comfortable. The hotel is nicely decorated, the front desk staff was very nice and welcoming, and the bed was comfortable. Yes the room was small, but we knew that ahead of time. The only reason I deducted a star is because to get coffee before the breakfast, you have to pay for it at the front desk then the machine will dispense your coffee. Not bad, just different.

Hotel and the stay was fine. There were two things that made it not so pleasant. First is the fact that there are THREE Ibis hotels and when you take the shuttle if you miss your stop you have to wait 20 min for the next shuttle. Not a huge deal but kind of a drag after traveling. The morning shuttle was also too crowded and so we ended up taking the next one. Not a huge deal again in the end, but stressful at the time. Relying on the shuttle can get annoying and the one bus takes about 45 minutes into the center fyi. Breakfast was good! Overall ok but not perfect.

I didn't stay in this property because they didn't want me to change the date. I reserved by mistake for Aug.16th for a transit on the 17th. I found out 5mn after my booking, so, I tried to contact them directly to change it to the 17th, and I also contacted Expedia to help on that. Nothing was successful. The IBIS agent who was replying to my email was unhelpful at all. He was sending me to Expedia, and Expedia tried to contact them, for some reason they could not do anything. So, I decided to boycott IBIS hotels and Expedia, because no one put the real effort to solve a tiny issue.

The location is off the back of the airport, so it may look close on Google maps, but it is not. It's a nightmare of distance and traffic to get to/from. The taxi ride from the airport is 40Euro. Shuttles are infrequent and overfilled. We had to use a taxi and were reprimanded by the taxi driver for not waiting 45 min for a shuttle at 11pm. The room was smaller than our train sleeper cabin. One of the beds was not made. It was a bare mattress with one sheet and one duvet folded on top. The room was filthy. We dared not take off our shoes. Part of the floor is raw concrete and it looks like it's never been washed, honestly. Breakfast is an additional charge despite advertisements about the breakfast that lead a reader to think it's included. This is my first negative review in 50 years, but I felt other travellers deserve to know what it's like to rent here.

Great for an overnight stay in Amsterdam to catch an early flight, however the shuttle is very often full so would help if they had more than just the one bus. Also, climate control in rooms not very effective. In the heat, it is much needed!
