There was no hot water.. the shower head did not fit into the bracket, the soap dispenser was empty, etc.. when I wrote they said it was a gas leak and I could use another room to shower. At that point I had taken a cold bath . So it was too late. The help just reiterated, it is not our fault! They somehow felt it was not their responsibility either!

It is a good place for a short stay. Not luxurious, but that’s not expected for this price. The staff is very nice, but the rooms are directly besides a very loud street, so not recommended to sleep with open windows.

I got really lost finding the right bus and Giacomo was really helpful and eventually came to pick me up in his car, which was fabulous as I was tired and with a big bag. The house is a lovely old house and the room was clean and perfect with an ensuite. Giacomo gave me information about where to go to eat and I went to Leo’s nearby where they cut slices of pizza at whatever size you like which is a great idea. The breakfast was nice and a range of things that you can order the night before. For me, the only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way, especially at night. The bus is possible, but it’s probably ideal to use this place if you are driving then it’s perfect and really reasonable.

It was an original old house very nice i liked very much. Breakfast was ok.Unfortunately there was no air conditioning , but for one nigth stay, one can put up with it.

Located near an industrial area, a drive away from Lucca. Leo's restaurant was a good local recommendation. Basic accomodation, bathroom a partly partitioned off part of bedroom, no toiletries provided.

Nice accommodation with beautiful garden, where you can take your breakfast. Maybe I would appraise window´s nets next time because of mosquito who made our one night uncomfortable. Very kind host Giacomo :) Thx

Giacomo and his mother were excellent host. We were walking the Via Francigena and they allowed us to check in sooner and drop off our backpacks so we may visit Lucca. The villa is about 2.8 kms from the old city but Giacomo offered us bicycles to ride to the old city. That was a wonderful experience as we were able to see far more than if we were on foot. We even cycled the wall twice and also cycled along the aqueducts.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Sunrise, nothing to complain about. Easy to stay in touch with the owners. They were positive even though our check in time changed, and they helped us when our baggage was delayed. We can highly recommend Villa Sunrise, to anyone who is looking for a cozy and quiet place to spend time close to Lucca.

Lovely Place,Antonella my host was brilliant and so helpfull. unfortunatly the steak house up the road was closed by the time I finally ventured out that evening but there are other places further towards the town where you can get stuff. good breakfast with a vast choice. short drive to Pisa aswell which is then easy to get onto the coastroad south.
