A lovely flat in the countryside just at 2 Kms from Lucca

This place is a gem. Very close (5-10 min walk) to the walled part of the city of Lucca and equally as close to the train station for access to many cities around Tuscany. 30 mins to Pisa, 20 mins from the coast of Viareggio, 1 hr by train to Florence, 1 hr to Cinque Terre, 1.5-2 hrs to Siena, 2.5 hrs from Rome. Basically you can use this as your jumping off point for a day trip. The apartment includes everything you need to make meals at home, has a nice balcony for relaxing and reading, has surprisingly fast internet, and also a clothes washer which is very convenient. It's a quiet and peaceful place to lay your head at night after a long day of sight seeing. Dario and Genni are a truly sweet and hospitable couple that are very helpful and prompt to answer any questions. We are so happy that we found this apartment and the wonderful city of Lucca and hope to be back soon.

Dario and Genni were wonderful hosts with very good dining and biking recommendations (CicliMax rocks for serious bicyclists).We thoroughly enjoyed the time in a quiet neighborhood, not a tourist in site! A good fit for those who enjoy a true local experience.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The owners Dario and Genni are both so kind and thoughtful. If you need anything, all you have to do is ask. It is on the top (3rd) floor, so there is no one above you. Very quiet and peaceful. As well, you get a beautiful view of the aqueduct from the balcony just off of the living area. Nice place to sit and read and have a tea or coffee! So relaxing. I also enjoyed going for walks exploring the area. If you are a cyclist , there are so many routes directly from the flat. (Dario is an avid cyclist and an encyclopedia of information) You are also close to Chrono bike shop within the walls of Lucca . It is the best bike shop I have ever been to. You can rent any kind of bike and they are all so helpful. The apartment has many windows so you get lots of natural light. It feels spacious and airy. I had excellent sleeps here. Comfortable bed and pillows......nice breeze. Having a parking stall is convenient too! It is about a 10 -15 minute walk to the walls of Lucca. We spent a week in this apartment in April with our three teenagers during a five week trip. The location was a welcome, quiet stop between large cities and we enjoyed walks into the old city, renting bikes for a ride around the wall, and getting our water from the aquaduct spigot. There was plenty of room for us five, tall Americans even when we felt "stuck" inside due to rain. The views were lovely and our walk along the aqueduct away from town met with our hopes for introducing our children to the scenic Italian countryside. We took a day trip to Pisa and planned an easy trip to the Cinque Terra but the weather was uncooperative that week. *Note - (taken from another post) "I would get off at Pisa S. Rossore as it's just a couple of minutes walk to the tower. I haven't been in that station in several years, but you used to just walk across the tracks after getting off. The station did not have any services so buy your return ticket at at one of the shops by the tower with the Trenitalia logo (sometimes the machines don't work in the stations)." We took the train all the way into Pisa Centrale, not trusting this advice. We bought bus tickets to the tower, then had a nice walk back to the train station. It is nearly a straight shot down Via Roma with a bit of a jog near the train station (look at a map!). On our return trip, we looked out the window to see the tower from the Pisa S. Rossore station!! Oh well. At least it wasn't raining! Genni and Dario instantly became some our favorite people with their cheerful personalities and helpfulness. They gave us a number of recommendations for food, gelato, and a lovely wine shop. We recommend this apartment if you are looking to be near the train station but closer to the green countryside than the town. It is lovely and the neighbors across the hall were friendly.

The apartment was lovely - we really liked the location as from the balcony we had views of the Aquaduct and rural homes. And it was nice to relax on the balcony (with a bottle of wine or two!) after a long day walking around Lucca. It is not a difficult walk into Lucca - we went through the fields along the Aquaduct during the day. And Lucca is beautiful! And very friendly Dario and Genni were lovely - they collected us at the Bus Station and took us back to the railway station. They also gave some good recommendations for restaurants, most of which we tried and enjoyed. We realise that we did not see all of Lucca so need to go back again.....also to see Florence properly - it deserves far more than a day trip. We will definately stay at this apartment again and I have already recommended it to friends

A lovely flat as described and about ten minutes flat walk from Lucca and five from the station where trains will take you to historic towns or nearby beaches.The flat was very clean and the owner picked us up from the railway station. A flat in the town itself would have been a bit better but the price would have been higher for the same quality of property.

Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Wir haben mehrmals gekocht, es ist alles da.An der Einrichtung merkt man, dass die Vermieterin selber dort gewohnt hat. Der Balkon ist mit Blick auf Aquädukt, das hat man auch nicht alle Tage. Die Lage ist wie angegeben. 10 min zum Bahnhof, was wir auch für Pisa und Florenz genutzt haben und 15 min zur Stadtmauer. Toll der verschlossene Parkplatz und auch die Fliegengitter. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr gute Wohnung und perfekte Lage. Autobahnnähe (Strand, Umland, Ausflüge nach Siena, San Gimignano, Voltera). Mit dem Zug in größere Städte (Florenz, Pisa) Kombiniert Auto + Zug (Cinque terre). Und zu Fuß nach Lucca - wirklich sehr schöne Stadt die nicht zu extrem touristisch ist.

Von dieser Wohnung aus kann man Lucca und die Toskana optimal erleben! Zu Fuß in die Stadt ca. 20 Minuten, der Bahnhof mit Verbindungen nach Viareggio, Florenz, Pisa liegt auf dem Weg in die Stadt. Der Parkplatz ist direkt vor dem Haus. Die Wohnung ist optimal ausgestattet und eingeteilt. Der kleine Balkon mit zauberhafter Aussicht wie auf dem Foto. Mit 2 Schlafzimmern optimal. Unsere Familie hat in dieser Wohnung eine Woche verbracht. Sehr sauber, sehr sicher, tolle Lage und alles vorhanden was man braucht. Es gibt schöne, öffentliche Sandstrände in der Nähe (30 Min. Fahrt), die bei Sonnenuntergang-/aufgang am schönsten sind. Der Supermarkt, der uns empfohlen wurde ist mit dem Auto ca. 2 Minuten entfernt und hat gute, frische Lebensmitteln, Gemüse, Obst. Wir haben Ausflüge nach Pisa und Florenz gemacht und für die Fahrt den Zug benutzt (Bahnhof ganz in der Nähe). Auch die Altstadt von Lucca ist wunderschön, besonders bei einem Abendspaziergang. Der Vermieter is sehr freundlich, war bei Fragen per WhatsApp immer erreichbar. Es gab keine versteckten, zusätzlichen Kosten usw. Haben die Wochnung schon Freunden empfohlen. Kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!

Hübsche Ferienwohnung in fußläufiger Entfernung zur Altstadt Lucca. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Besuche nach Pisa und Florenz. Wer Baden möchte kann auch ein Abstecher ans Meer machen. Großer Vorteil ist der Parkplatz an der Ferienwohnung. Durch Schranken gesichert. Einkaufen ist kein Problem. Dario der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit. Gibt Tipps und ist immer erreichbar. Lucca ist eine sehr schöne Stadt, die man unbedingt gesehen haben sollte. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Urlaub.

God, lille feriebolig for 2 personer

Lage: Das Apartment liegt im 3. Stock/Dachgeschoss eines Mehrfamilienhauses in ruhiger Wohnlage mit Sicht zum Aquädukt. Über einen kleinen Seitenweg kann neben dem Aquädukt auch ein Fußweg zum Bahnhof und damit zum Zentrum begehen (Tipp von Dario). Wir haben in Lucca quasi alles zu Fuß erreicht. Übrigens, die Atmosphäre und Gerüche der Gräsern und Gewürze beim abendlichen Gang aus der Stadt zurück, waren sensationell. Ausstattung: Im Prinzip eine vollwertig ausgestattete Wohnung mit offener Küche zum Wohnraum, Bad, zwei Schlafzimmern und zwei Balkonen. Zwar kein Fernseher, aber Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler und Mückenschutz an den Fenstern. Eigener Parkplatz direkt am Apartment mit Schranken gesichert. Service: Unproblematische Kontaktaufnahme zur Schlüsselübergabe, sehr herzliche Begrüßung. Wir lernten mit Dario und Genni ein sehr nettes und entspanntes Paar kennen. Dario spricht perfekt deutsch. Gab viele Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und vielem anderen mehr. Wir hatten das gute Gefühl uns jederzeit bei ihm melden zu können und weitere Fragen beantwortet zu bekommen. Preis/Leistung: Sehr gut. Erstattung der Kaution kam schnell und unproblematisch. Empfehlung: Ich empfehle es gern weiter und würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

L'appartamento è carino e molto ben organizzato come spazi. Alcuni mobili sono vecchi ma funzionali. Un po' sacrificato il bagno con una doccia sicuramente da migliorare. Proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili.

Die Wohnung hat durch ihre dreiseitige Belüftung (Balkone/Fenster) eine natürliche Klimaanlage und einen tollen Ausblick auf das Aquädukt von Lucca. dDie Altstadt von Lucca wie auch der Bahnhof für Kurztripps in die Umgebung sind zu Fuß in 10-15 Minuten erreichbar. Dario war ein sehr netter Vermieter und hatte einige gute Tipps für uns. Vielen Dank

L'appartement de Dario & Genni correspond tout à fait à la description qui en est faite sur le site internet. Le quartier résidentiel où il se trouve est très calme. Il est idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville de Lucca à pied, et n'est qu'à quelques minutes de Pise ou de Florence en voiture. Mais d'autres petites villes ou monuments moins courus méritent tout autant le détour. L'église de San Piero a Grado près de Pise par exemple est magnifique. Nous y avons passé là d'excellentes vacances à découvrir la région après avoir été très bien reçus par Dario & Genni qui n'ont pas manqué de nous donner de bonnes adresses de restaurants dans la ville. Die Wohnung von Genni und Dario liegt südlich von Lucca in der Nähe des Bahnhofs. Für den Preis und für zwei Leute ist die Wohnung gut. Ausstattung: Besteck ist, wie leider oft in diesen Wohnungen, nur so knapp vorhanden, dass sich ein Spülmaschinengang eigentlich nie lohnt. Gekocht haben wir dort somit nicht. Einen Stromanschluss für die Mikrowelle haben wir nicht gefunden. Das Thema Müllentsorgung ist in Lucca speziell geregelt, man sollte sich das gut erklären lassen. TV ist nicht vorhanden, dafür ein schneller Internetzugang. Das franz. Bett ist ausreichend groß, die Matratze fest, aber nicht hart. Das Nachttisch-Leselicht könnte heller sein. Die Sparleuchtmittel haben halt auch in Italien Einzug gehalten. Bei Ostwind sollte man das Schlafzimmerfenster zu lassen und den Raum anders belüften, sonst hört man die nahe Autobahn. Es gibt leider keine Duschtasse, so dass man nach jedem Duschen wischen muss. Lage: Lucca ist mit dem Fahrrad schnell und unproblematisch zu erreichen. Ein großer Supermarkt befindet sich in ca 1,5 km Entfernung im Westen, ein guter Bäcker auf der Hälfte der Strecke Rtg. Supermarkt. Mit Dario kann man gut englisch, aber auch sehr gut deutsch reden. Beide sind absolut nett und hilfsbereit.

Aardige eigenaars. Dario kwam ons van het station ophalen en heeft alles in de flat uitgelegd. Genni bracht nog vaatwastabletten. De flat ligt in een groene buitenwijk, is netjes en schoon en goed koel te houden. Het balkon was heerlijk! De grote supermarkt Esselunga is wat ver lopen, maar de shortcut door het groen is net te doen. Dichtbij is nog een kleine alimentario. In een keukenkastje zijn twee plattegrondjes opgeplakt om beide winkels te vinden. Langs het aquaduct is het 10 minuten lopen naar het station. We hebben mooie wandelingen gemaakt langs het aquaduct en een stukje de bergen in. Het oude centrum van Lucca is mooi, wel druk en toeristisch. Verder hebben wij Pistoia bezocht, een mooi plaatsje. De badplaats Viareggio heeft een prachtige boulevard met Jugendstil panden. Vlak naast de pier is een klein publiek strandje.Nog een dagje naar Florence, waar wij al eerder waren. De laatste dag hebben we fietsen gehuurd en over de stadsmuur gefietst en ook nog een stuk buiten Lucca langs het water. We hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad! Das Apartment liegt strategisch sehr günstig und ruhig, man ist in 15 Minuten zu Fuß am Bahnhof, um nach Pisa oder Florenz zu fahren und kann auch gut mit dem Auto zu Wanderungen in die Apuanischen Alpen oder in das Umland von Lucca starten. Wir haben abwechselnd selbst gekocht und sind essen gegangen. Der Vermieter hatte einen Tipp für ein Restaurant mit phantastischem Essen zu moderaten Preisen. Anschließend hatten wir das Glück, auf einem der vielen Plätze der Stadt in ein Konzert zu "stolpern". Das passiert einem nur mit Stadtanbindung und nicht im Dorf auf dem Land. It was a bit hard for me to decide on the final mark, as there are big advantages to this apartment: -quiet neighbourhood, -location is close to perfect, within walking distance from the centre and the train station, -the view is really enjoyable, there also is a dishwasher, a rarity in our Italian rentals so far. Still, the main downsides were: - missing ventilators upon arrival, which we did not notice and had to call for them to be supplied (it was done swiftly, but the first night was not best), - the shower, which curtain does not reach the floor (at least 15 cm gap) which makes it necessary to wipe the floor after taking the shower, and there is no mop, - kitchen utensils could use an upgrade, as there is one rather old pan, the only knife provided is serrated and cutlery is generally limited, not in line with the apartment advertisement "un piatto delizioso".

Mooi verzorgd appartement, van alle voorzieningen voorzien. Heerlijk balkon op het zuiden met schitterend uitzicht op het aquaduct. Op loopafstand van het centrum en het station. Erg vriendelijke eigenaren.

Schon die Anreise war ein erster Schritt zum Urlaubsfeeling. Von Kilometer zu Kilometer wurde das Wetter besser und blieb dann 2 Wochen bei erträglichen mindestens 32 Grad. Die Wohnung liegt etwas vom historischen Zentrum Lucca's entfernt, vom Balkon ist aber die Stadt mit ihren markanten Türmen stets im Blick. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe und ein Parkplatz stand direkt in der Hausanlage zur Verfügung. Sehr nette Nachbarn, mit denen man schnell in's Gespräch kam, Die Umgebung und der Ort Lucca sind einfach traumhaft. Strandtage in Viareggio oder Kulturtage in Pisa, Massa oder Livorno wechselten sich ab. Die Gegend ist übrigens ein Traum für Radfahrer, ich habe während des Aufenthaltes fast 700 Kilometer abgestrampelt und jeden Tag neue schöne Strecken abseits der Hauptstrassen gefunden. Wenn man ein wenig aufmerksam durch die Gegend fährt findet man viele Kleinode, die man sonst nie bemerken würde. Alles in allem ein traumhafter Urlaub, wir werden wiederkommen.
