This is the second time that I have stayed at Ananda Villa while in Koh Tao. I like that it is nice and close to the dive shop that I dive with, that it is in the quieter part of town, super close to the ferry (no taxi needed), so many great places to eat in the area and of course endless options for a good massage plus the staff are super friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don't like is that there isn't really anywhere to sit on their beach... there isn't access to chairs/lounges - which is the downfall. They have a beautiful spot with a beautiful view and you can't really enjoy it unless you bring along your towel and find a spot and take a seat on the stairs. There is a place to sit and relax if you participate in the services of the restaurant - Breeze - wish this was different!

We stayed 5 nights to dive with Master Divers (short walk down the street) and would happily stay again.

I like staying at this side of town vs Sairee Beach - a little quieter and close to the dive shop I was with. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Koh Tao

I absolutely loved my all-too-short stay here. I was able to check in several hours early which is always a good start. The staff were really friendly and helpful. My room was large, bright, well-furnished and spotless with a spacious balcony with a brilliant view of the beach. I love that they provide beach blankets, a tote bag, laundry basket and a torch. Breeze restaurant next door serve good food although the menu was not extensive. It is right on the beach. Pranee's kitchen on the other side of the hotel served very tasty and reasonably priced Thai food. There are also many other places just walking distance down the small side streets.

Great choice if wanting to stay in Mae Haad area and dive. Lots of restaurants in vicinity so don't really have to go to Sairee Beach area for amenities (which costs between 200 to 400 bht) Only complaint was there didn't seem to be a way to contact reception after 9pm and before 9am

The room is so beautiful, clean, and cozy more than I expected, especially the balcony which you can relax and see the view there. The hotel is near the pier and many shops, but it's not crowded. Recommend for a couple, family, or someone who needs the relax holiday.

Very friendly staff. Nice room with balcony and view of beach/harbour. Good choice of freshly prepared food for breakfast along with fresh fruit juice and tea or coffee from Pranee's kitchen. Very short walk from the Lomprayah pier at Mae Haad. A sister building was nearing completion, facing the existing one. The balconies in this new building will not get direct sun, but do have views of the beach. It looked as though a roof terrace was included in the new building but we did not have access so cannot be certain.
