Lovely hotel. Room size was great. Clean, comfy, with historic flair. Free breakfast was an added bonus. Only complaint was the room was stuffy and warm. Was able to request a fan from the front desk though. It was a warm day in Ireland.

Excellent staff and beautiful food. Hotel is halfway between Derry and Letterkenny so car or other transport is required for getting around. Inishowen peninsula is a must for spectacular views and scenery.

Pros: Very clean. Staff are very friendly. Easy parking. 12p checkout helps if rest is needed. Cons: Noisy when events are going on. No control over AC. Mattress is a bit too firm. Breakfast was not very good. Would have appreciated drinking water in the rooms.

My wife and I had a 2 night stay very pleasant receptionist guick check in room was clean and roomy but a disappointing view from are ground floor window ( six foot from a high banked hedge) breakfast very nice plenty of choice and a good cooked Irish but the coffee was terrible we had a few drinks in the bar on a Saturday night and the entertainment was excellent on the Sunday evening we had a meal it was nice but look warm overall we enjoyed our time but on fortunately wouldn’t stay there again as it is not in walking distance to anywhere

Wonderful staff and great hotel but, I don’t recommend the ground floor as we got a room that was essentially below level with the ground way above, no air conditioning and the window opened to mosquitoes and bugs, mold and dank.

This is a nice hotel. Our only issue was that it was hot in the room (unusually warm day in May), and there was no AC. Likely would not be an issue most times. There were two weddings receptions going on when we arrived, and it seemed the restaurant staff may have been involved in that, so we ended up going back out to grab dinner. Beautiful place though.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely staff and great food . Good location and spacious, comfortable bedrooms. Only gripe was the hairdryer which was fed up through the drawer and even when seated , which was necessary,it was way to short in reach . Have stayed in this hotel Many times in the past and never encountered a problem like this. Hopefully the hotel will take this criticism on board.

I called & requested handicap accessible. I was told that they would accommodate. Entry was difficult due to the heavy doors. The bathroom had a bathtub instead of shower. The wheelchair barely fit in the tiny room and didn’t even fit on either side of bed nor between them. They gave us another room through three sets of heavy fire doors way at the end. It did have a shower but still no room for chair. I had to move beds to fit wheelchair. The room was freezing cold. Heat is on a timer so they did an override but it still took forever to warm up. I got a rude response to my complaint. so we went to dine. Service was very good but the over priced chicken tenders & chicken sandwich left a bit to be desired. The only good thing was the breakfast. Overall I wouldn’t recommend. We cut our stay short and moved to the Clanree in Letterkenny. 100% better & less expensive.
