The hotel room was very clean (the linens were so fresh). The bed was hard, but served its purpose! It was a small room, but perfect for my family. Check-in is up one level; so not the norm, but not difficult. The man at the evening check in was nice, the two guys at checkout not so much. Also, I understand the difference between euros/dollars, but they told me one price at checkout and there ended up being a $55.00 euro difference, around $20.00 US dollars discrepancy. Overall, it was very quiet and we felt safe, it was convenient to all of the authentic food spots; gelato, pastries, and great food court not even a block away behind the market (fantastic pizza and so inexpensive). I would stay again.

Great location of the hotel, 5 min walk to piazza de ferrari and lots of shopping. We parked our car in a parking lot also 5 min away walking. The hotel is on the fifth floor with a check in on the 2nd floor. We used gps, and had no issues finding it, though the sign on the building has a different name for the hotel but once you come to the door you can see that you're in a right place. The room was spacious and clean and well air conditioned. Would stay again.

Was just for business and the room was nice and clean and fresh, jad what i needed with a continental breakfast too. Its in anothet hotel but found it easy enough. Only issue is the lift very old and have to shut the door, several times i was calling for it but people had not shut the door so it didnt move from where they got out. Air con was very good apart from the control meant it was tricky to set for the night/turned off automatically Location ideal for city and my offices

No common areas like traditional hotels, otherwise just like any hotel (you just have to ring the bell at front door to get in). Clean room, silent air conditioning in the room, friendly staff and a good breakfast. I would come again! Location is very good, near both Genova Brignole train station and Piazza de Ferrari, which is a plus.

Situated a few minutes walk from the main piazza, this hotel fitted the bill for our 2 night stay in Genoa. Room and bathroom very small but clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good - no hot food but plenty of pastries and cereals. Would definitely stay ahain

The Riva Superior is on the fifth floor accessible by elevator. It's part of another hotel in the same building. Other floors are for other businesses. There is a breakfast room on the fifth floor but this was not used and we used the main first floor instead. Breakfast was included and was great! Lots of options, coffee made fresh and great service, could be busy at times. Our room was nice and comfortable and the location is perfect for walking about Genoa, both for sightseeing and dining.

Hotel is easy to find if you read reviews. Please note reception is located on 1st floor and hotel itself is on 5th floor. Rooms are nice and cosy. Not big but big enough for us as a couple. Bed is big enough and really good for sleeping. Bathroom is in the room so you don't have to share with others. Towels and shower gel/soap provided. Rooms are cleaned daily. Can't complain about cleaning. Small fridge in the room. Hotel is located perfectly. Is close to main piazza, train station, bus station and all restaurants, foccateria and coffee shops. Highly recommend.

We are so happy that we went here. The staff is super friendly. We came way earlier than check-in time and they gave us breakfast while preparing our rooms. The location is great and the rooms are nice. Would go here again :)

The hotel is very well situated in the city, meaning you can get to the docks, and railway station and other areas in under 15 minutes walking. The lady that was on breakfast service was lovely and even though we had a language barrier, she was very helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Hotel is not easy to find as the name on the building is different from “Hotel Riva.” There is no parking or drop off area in front of the building so be prepared. Rooms were clean and updated and the staff were extremely friendly. Not very soundproof and the hair dryer didn’t work in our room. The area was surrounding the hotel was vibrant so expect noise.

I would totally recommend this newly updated hotel in the heart of it all. The luxurious modern design of the room made my stay very comfortable, and the juxtaposition of the beautiful antique elevator took it to the next level (pun unintended). Being able to walk out the front door and find yourself in the middle of the most posh shopping district ever was a real treat. When I first booked, I didn’t realize how close the hotel was to all the tourist attractions I wanted to visit! Literally every direction has something cool within a twenty minute walk. I highly recommend walking across the street, around the department store, up the stairs (over the wall), past the impossibly chic restaurant (toward Casa de Columbo)… because Porta Soprana was my favourite tourist site ever!

Room was extremely warm. Couldn’t get the airco to work properly. Nobody there to ask as it is a B&B and there was nobody at arrival to. Entrance pretty hard to find as due lack of signs and there is a shared hotel in the same building. Room was new and clean. As was the bed and shower. Location was very good in the big shopping street.

Property is convenient to the airport and cruise pier. Buses and the hop on hop off have stops not even 1/2 a block from the door. Staff were courteous and helpful and even arranged a taxi for us when we were leaving.
