    We are bitterly dissatisfied with Agoda's deception and dishonesty. We arrived at Hotel Canal View Amsterdam Netherlands. While the listing has the correct address and outside image is correct the rest are dishonest. No, it does not have a lift and is not wheelchair accessible. What it does have is 3 floors of incredibly narrow and steep stairs (see attached photos). Both frightening and dangerous. Agoda's photos on the listing are of a totally different property. We spoke with the site manager who was amazed at Agoda's listing. He said he does not use agoda. And the listing on *** IS correct. Agoda's listing is completely wrong in words and images. Given how old the building is, heating is also a big factor. If you're not a fan of the cold, this property is not for you, we were provided with a heater and that was good enough for us. After numerous back and forth messages to Agoda, all they offer us as compensation was 22USD Agoda cash (What a joke!). Never booking through Agoda ever again! But this property is a gem given the location, we saw the boat traffic, don't be surprised if people stop to take photos in front of your windows due to the property next door no. 7, is the narrowest facade in Amsterdam.

    If you like a place to rest and store your luggage this is the place for you. For light weight travel or backpackers only. Request for the canal view but be prepared to bring off lotion. No aircon. Location is great and away from the noisy buzzed tourists.

    Pros: Staff was super friendly and communicative Fantastic Location Low Price Cons: Tiny Room (barely room to walk around the bed with any bags in room) No divider or Fan in the bathroom If you are in room 2,4 or 6 you should have a nice view of the canal. But 1,3 and 5 get to stare at a wall.
