All staff are warm and welcoming. I was initially puzzled about their service when the hotel never replied to my email before our arrival. It turned out a busy hotel with lean manpower. We got our requests fulfill on the spot. We had stayed there for 3 nights. We had to catch an early train for two mornings. The hotel generously packed the breakfast for us. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast is great. The location is slightly away from town but a quiet neigjbourhood. That's what we need. Summer can be a challenge which the aircon seems not at its best function.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The staff were not very friendly, they rarely smiled or greeted guests proactively. We checked in quite late at around 10pm and were given a very dark and unpleasant room. As soon as we entered and inserted the key card, the cover of the card slot had already fallen off and was lying on the floor. When we walked over to the desk and tried to turn on the desk lamp, we discovered it was broken and wouldn’t switch on. Then we went into the bathroom, and were immediately hit by a strong sewage smell, which was extremely uncomfortable. Opening the window made it worse, as it directly faced a back alley with drains. I felt very unwell staying in that room and went to the front desk to request a room change. Bear in mind we were only staying for one night, and we paid over £200 via Agoda. I really don’t think the price is justified for what we experienced. After making several requests, they finally agreed to change the room, but the front desk staff were unhelpful and seemed unwilling to assist. They claimed the original room was a “Luxury” room, but I honestly don’t see how. The new room was on the same floor, just on the opposite side, with the same size and layout, the only difference being that it faced the main road instead of the drains. Even the new room still had a mild sewage smell in the bathroom — not as strong as the first room, but still noticeable. On top of that, the drinking glasses provided in the room were dirty, which was quite off-putting. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience and I would not recommend this hotel.
