The Leeson Inn

Leeson Inn is conveniently located close to the city centre. Neat and clean.

From start to finish, this was an awful experience. We called the day before to enquire about our room. After giving our reference number and name, the male clerk would not provide any information unless we completed an additional form which included credit card information. He informed us if this form was not filled out, our check in would be difficult. We were uncomfortable with this request so we decided to wait. The next day my wife was made to wait beyond our check in time. The male clerk ignored my wife the entire time she was waiting. After 4pm, my wife approached the clerk and enquired what was happening with our room. She was then advised that the room was ready. Had she not asked she would have still been waiting. Our room was on the 2nd floor, which is 4 floors up. As we are seniors this was difficult up and down carrying our luggage. The clerk watched as my wife struggled to carry her bags and then finally asked if he could help. The reason we had called was to request a fan, which was provided, which was broken. It listed to one side but it ran. No air conditioning and it was stifling in the room. The loud night noises kept us up until 3am. No ice machine. The hot water tank broke during our stay. The room was never cleaned. I had to send messages in order to get towels brought up. In order to boil water for a cup of tea I had to balance the tea kettle on the radiator. It would almost be comical but we paid good money for a very horrible experience. If there's no air conditioning, at least supply fridges or an ice machine and buckets. You advertised that there was parking available at a ridiculous price. After finding out the exorbitant price to park, we had to return our rental car 3 days before it was due to be returned. I definitely would not recommend this property.

It was great but for me I dont like the bed its too soft for me and no ac. But other than that no complain

The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to Dublin Castle , Trinity College and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The staff were wonderful. The big downside to this hotel is that there isn’t any air conditioning and the noise. For June it was 50-65 degrees outside but in our room it was over 80 degrees. There isn’t an elevator so you need to climb stairs with luggage. We opened the window in our room for air but the noise outside was very noticeable. We didn’t sleep well the 2 nights we were there due to the heat and the noise. This hotel is now part of the Marriott Bonvoy collection but it needs serious attention to be a Marriott. Our room was small, the sink in the bathroom was so small that when I washed my face, most of the water was on the floor. Until the do something about these issues, I would not recommend this hotel.
