Lovely room and delicious breakfast. Only slight downside was there was only a bath and not a shower, but that's my personal preference. Will return.

The George is a really cute historic inn that is situated in a quiet, magical little village - it is literally right across the street from the ruin of a Norman castle. While you need to leave town to get to Frome or Bath, the bus stop is located right outside the inn. It has a friendly little pub that serves good food and is frequented by guests and locals. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean. There is no air conditioning but we had a fan which was adequate. It felt like a step back in time! We loved it and would gladly return.

The staff were so friendly and helpful... My room was clean and comfy... Breakfast was excellent.... good quality produce and well cooked...

Stayed here for an evening before going to Longleat . really surprised at how amazing this hotel was .
The rooms was fabulous, well presented , extremely comfy bed . Yes and coffee facilities , great powerful shower .
The staff couldn’t do enough for us . The food was very high standards and the atmosphere in the whole place was brilliant . 100% would stay here again. . Highly recommend
