    The hotel is a great concept. Japanese style rooms and very clean. In a good location not far from phrom phrong bts. They also allow a late checkout if you become a member and handover your personal information! There was hot water and the shower was good. The downsides: the bed I slept on wasn’t that comfortable which surprised me given other reviews mentioning soft/comfortable bed. The curtains also let in a lot of ambient light especially in the mornings from 6am onwards. For me sleep is the priority when travelling, especially in Bangkok where the city moves at a fast pace. If LiveZen fixed these two things, I’d come to this hotel every time I’m in Bangkok. But if they don’t I will look elsewhere. Side note: Tried the coffee at the patisserie downstairs (different business from the hotel) one morning and it had an unpleasant flavour. Their avocado and egg on toast was good but had a lot of pepper sprinkled on it. Not good when you don’t like pepper. Lol!

    This is by far one of my favourite hotels in bangkok thus far. Clean, quiet and very comfortable. It is also using a Japandi theme for their interior design. Location is a 10 min from Phrom Phong BTS, do check with the staff about the shortcut. It could be inconvenient if it rains. Not much in terms of facilities, there is a gym. Never really needed hotel facilities when staying in Bkk anyway. Overall an amazing stay for solo traveller.

    The room was unfortunately very poorly soundproofed. I could clearly hear the noise from vehicles passing on the street, which made it difficult to rest and sleep comfortably.. One of the night there was even some hoohaa on the street (people fighting/ happy )? at 3am? I hope travellers who intend to book here who are very light sleepers THINK TWICE before booking this place.

    First off, the location is easy to find and use as a base. There’s a washing machine in the room, too. There’s a common area on every floor with a kitchen. So there’s a modicum of convenience. The staff were all kind. Now, the issue of comfort. Upon registering you will be greeted by a box with eye covers and ear plugs. The reason why will be readily apparent when you bed down. Street noise is omnipresent and the materials used on finishing the windows and balcony doors do little to keep it out. The walls between suites suffer the same fate. You will hear your neighbours sneeze. It is a traditional Japanese tatami room. If sitting on the floor and scrambling over the body of your partner to make it to the WC, sound like irritants, then this is not the place for you and yours.
