Property was in an excellent location - especially for Rialto Bridge and St Marks.
The room itself was very basic and looks more so than the pictures. I had booked it as a surprise trip for a birthday and it definitely didn’t have a wow factor or visual appeal. The lamp next to the bedside table didn’t work and the bathroom light was very hit and miss whether it worked. Bathroom was tiny but enough clean towels provided. No issues with cleanliness.
You rely on other guests to properly close the front door to the property, on several occasions on our trip we returned to find it left open. Once inside you can access any of the rooms upstairs which didn’t make it feel the most secure. Didn’t see any staff there during the stay. Luggage was left in an unlocked and unattended room upon check in/check out.
Overall the price was worth it for the location but it’s somewhere to stay if you don’t really want to spend time in your room.
The tax payable at the property was 3x what Expedia told me it would be so be wary.
