The mattress in the room was a waterbed, presumably chosen to match the room’s design, but unfortunately it was quite uncomfortable and affected the quality of my sleep. In addition, there was a city map placed on the desk that appeared to have been previously used, with some kind of spill on it, which made the overall cleanliness feel lacking.
I was also expecting to receive a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine as part of the Expedia VIP Access benefit, but this was not provided during my stay.
On the positive side, the hotel is conveniently located close to the city center, making it easy to get around. I was also very satisfied with the key system, which could be fully managed via a smartphone app, it was extremely convenient.

Great staff - super friendly and helpful with everything. Room felt like I was in the guest room of a friend’s house in terms of comfort while seeming like I was in someone’s painting as well. Location is great - centrally located for all of Cologne.

What a wonderful place! Each room is bespoke, designed by an artist. We were in the reading room and had a ball. Great location, easy walking distance to central station, Cologne Cathedral and Old town.

Cool hotel, great room (Hommage to Steve McQueen), close to nice restaurants and great shopping! Loved the shower and the bed was really comfortable.
