Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square South

We stayed here for 3 nights The location is good and is centrally located. Staff is very courteous and helpful Breakfast was well laid and u see smiling staff faces. Only con is room size was smaller than expected and can be more well maintained. We stayed in double queen bed room and the we felt there was hardly any walking space left. Whereas other Hampton inn on 35th Street has much bigger size of room in same category. Rest everything else was great and will recommend

We arrived and the front desk clerk was very pleasant and got us checked in quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, once we were in the room, there were several issues. We needed extra towels (twice) and extra hangers. When we tried to call the front desk/housekeeping, we discovered our phone was broken — both wires were pulled from the wall and the phone itself didn’t work. We had to walk down to the front desk each time to request items and were told the phone would be fixed, but it never was during our stay. Our booking was for 4 nights. On the 3rd day, we were told we needed new room keys. When we went to the desk Thursday morning, the Manager on duty was assisting another guest. While we waited, she never acknowledged us with so much as a “Good morning” or “I’ll be with you shortly.” After about 10 minutes, I asked if anyone was available to help us, and her response was: “Well, you can see no one is working that side/station, so not there.” Her tone and lack of professionalism were uncalled for and disrespectful. After that incident, we were no longer greeted at all for the remainder of our stay. The towels we received were worn out, with rips, holes, stains, and some so thin they resembled paper towels. The room itself was very dirty—stains on the bedding and curtains, and the fridge was in terrible condition. Overall, the room appeared “wiped down” at best, not properly cleaned. We understand this was booked through a 3rd party, but that shouldn’t change the quality of the room or the level of service provided during our stay. I also have several pictures that can be provided to support this review. This was not the level of service or cleanliness we expected, and it made our stay disappointing

The hotel is centrally located is the main advantage. Disadvantages are very small room size and lifts take lot of time.
