Check in: we arrived at the cabin at 18:30 hrs and reception was shut. The lady only arrived at 19:15 hr, so we waited 45 minutes in the heat. She was friendly and explained everything well. Check in was smooth after that.
Room: spacious to distribute 4 people around but....
1. AIRCON UNIT NEEDS REPLACING, DID NOT WORK. Was extremely noisy and did not cool the cabin. We had a heat wave outside with 106°F .
2. There was a rancid/ humid smell as you laid down on the bed which seemed to come from the old, run down mattress. Sheets looked clean but found a long, fine hair on them.
Sofa was old and needs replacing/ updating.
Kitchen: well equipped for what we needed but the extractor fan .... terrible. Luckely we did not need to cook for 1 night we stayed.
Bathroom: fabulous!! Recently refurbished and very clean. We had the water cut off at 10:50 am on tbe day of check out. There seemed to be a water leak so we could not wash the 3 breakfast dishes.
I sincerely would not recommend this place for stays longer than 2 nights. I thought it is NOT good value for money, over priced for the deal. Needs updating and looking after the outside area. Plus there are a lot of caravans around, almost overcrowded.
The plus point is we could use the swimming pools at the main hotel and get free coffee there as well. We managed to get cooled off then. Will not repeat.
