First, let me say they’re undergoing a renovation so they deserve a little grace. However, I waited in line 40 minutes to check in and while the reservation agents were excellent under pressure the line never shrank until hours later. While my room had a very comfortable bed. It did not have a refrigerator or microwave. There were two bottles of water on the table with a warning that they were offered at two dollars apiece. Ice machines were not available on every floor ,so you may have to travel up or down to build your ice buckets. On a cool morning, I tried to turn up the heat and noticed a sign below the thermostat that said the hotel could not provide heat and cooling at the same time and if we were hot or cold the directions were to either open a window slightly or request a space heater. Tabletop surfaces were dusty enough to write my name on and several small spiderwebs were wedged up on the ceiling. My bathtub had one or two orange wear spots, which were very unappealing that said, the staff was uniformly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The areas where he renovation has been completed look comfortable and inviting. maybe it just needs time but it’s not there yet.

I have stayed at the hotel for almost 10 years in all its forms and I have watched it steadily decline year after year and as of December 2025, this is the saddest version of itself yet. Half of the downstairs floor is blocked off for construction, so the venue only has half the bars, restaurants, and casino space in an already small venue. (The good news is that this should lend to future improvements so there’s your silver lining.) But the rooms need the most help. They are showing their age and it looks like all the repairs and bandaids they put on the rooms are done by my older stepfather who hates doing repairs. The bed was uncomfortable, the carpets felt dirty. Honestly the motels down the street looked like they had nicer rooms. So, my point is if you get a room for under ***, sure. Why not. Let’s be honest, you’re paying for the location anyway . But any more than that and you will leave angry and disappointed, especially if you’ve stayed there in past and had a great experience (or at least a much better one.)
