    I love this hotel; for the price it is lovely. Other places in the area off free breakfast for the same price but none of them are as pristine or as clean. The trade off depends on how much you prefer a classy room to a cheap $3 dollar cold muffin.

    Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Le Bleu in Brooklyn was far from what I expected. From the start, the outside of the building looked rundown, which didn’t match the images we had seen online. The lobby was extremely small, and the first front desk attendant we encountered was unwelcoming and had a bit of an attitude. Thankfully, the second attendant we interacted with was very pleasant and helped balance out the poor first impression. The room itself was spacious and comfortable for me and my friends — initially. However, in the middle of the night, one of my friends got up to use the bathroom and slipped on a large puddle of water on the floor. We immediately called the front desk, and unfortunately, it was the same unpleasant attendant. She came up and handed us towels to clean up the mess ourselves, explaining that there were no housekeepers on-site. The water turned out to be from a leaking mini fridge in the room. Maintenance never showed up. We had to line up towels to soak up the water and try to prevent more slipping accidents. When we went to check out, we asked to speak with a manager — only to be told there wasn’t one available. Since then, we’ve made several attempts to get in touch with management to report the incident and share our concerns, but we’ve had no luck. No one has followed up with us, which is incredibly frustrating and irresponsible considering someone could have been seriously injured. This kind of customer service is unacceptable, and the lack of urgency around a potential safety hazard is alarming. I will not be staying at Hotel Le Bleu again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others based on this experience.
