    This hotel is in a great location. Very close to the Galata Tower, Istiklal Avenue, and the surrounding restaurants/shops, and right next to the M2 metro line entrance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped with information, holding our luggage for an extended period of time, and any other need we had. For the hotel's price, the experience was excellent. The breakfast was slightly underwhelming compared to other hotels. While it was completely passable, it provided only pre-cooked scrambled eggs as an egg option, and only one type of juice option. If you wanted an omelette or sunny-side-up, you'd have to pay extra for it. However my only real complaint about this place is that some of the rooms at the back side of the hotel have an odor problem. These are already weaker rooms due to having a poor view of the back alley behind the hotel, rather than the river view that the front rooms get. But on top of that, there was a constant foul odor coming from the bathroom, despite the room being completely clean. We were able to get used to it, but it was the only downside to our experience here. We stayed in room 607. Try to avoid it. We stayed at this hotel a second time and got a room on the front side of the hotel, and there was absolutely no odor issue there. So it seems to only affect the back side of the hotel. Shout out to Aziz, Çihan, and the housekeeping lady whose name I did not get. Standout staff members who helped with every need. I recommend staying here if you're on a budget but want a pleasant stay that provides you with everything you need.

    Staff demanding tips for doing nothing. The ceiling is stained with leaked water. Loud construction noise coming from right next to your room keeps you awake early in the morning. This hotel ruined my experience in Istanbul.
