The bar and breakfast were good. The parking situation a bit less so with having valet parking only. But even that wasn't that much of a hassle. Great central location very convenient for the restaurants and a short 15-20 minute walk to the Rugby stadium.

The valet parking service was excellent. Thanks Nic! Same to be said about the hotel front desk staff. The lobby, and restarunt are very nice. Unfortunately the acoustical ratings of the hotel corridors walls and especially the suite entry doors was very poor as every time a corridor entry door was open the doors continually slammed shut making a devastating rattling noise down the hallways. (perhaps the door closures needs to be replaced) Unfortunately the loud corridor noise started at 6:00am and continued all morning. We have been traveling for 3 weeks staying in hotels all across New Zealand and this was the first time this noise issued had happened to us. The room was very clean however it was the smallest washroom we have ever seen ever in a hotel room anywhere. Lack of vanity counter space makes the bathroom difficult to use especially if it's 2 persons in the room. For the price of this room I would expect a much better and washroom. The breakfast was very well done. The location is also good but for the above reasons we moved to a new hotel for the second night in town.

From the time we arrived until we left all staff were excellent. Always friendly and helpful. The best we have from any place in N.Z or overseas. The dining room ensured the food was correctly prepared to meet specialty requirements for guests we had. Thanks to them. The room was very undersized but comfortable.
