    If you are staying on the ground floor, you can hear people walking and talkiing upstairs. Cannot sleep at night

    Located in an old church building in the middle of Kuching old quarters, within walking distance of everything rustic Kuching has to offer. A garden with chirping birds and occasional splashes from bathers at the pool just sets the tone to mellow down after a day or two exploring old Kuching. Rooms are clean but walls are thin. Very thin. Ear plugs are standard amenity other than the usual hotel toiletries and beverage. All heritage stairs and No electrical lifts. A good restaurant on its grounds (Kantin at the Granary) just puts the icing on the cake.

    We reserved for a family of 4, kids aged 6&9. Our room had enough bed spaces but one mattress was on a platform accessible via a staircase that has no mid railings and were unsafe for young kids. They had no rooms left. This description was never shared via agoda or displayed on their site or I would have booked elsewhere. Our room was also forward the back of the property which needed a lot of stairs up and down, and was by a busy loud road, rooms had little sound insulation and windows had no screens. Pool looked nice as did restaurant and common spaces otherwise. Too bad rooms were just not good. We paid to stay elsewhere.
