    I'd a pleasant stay. The room was basic and clean. Plenty of cafes and supermarkets by the area.

    The room is bigger than expected. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom is big. The breakfast is terrible, not worth 8 euros. The location is too far to walk to attractions but too close to take taxi or metro. We decided to walk, approximately 15 to 25 minutes to attractions., Surrounding hotel has many good restaurants and coffee places.

    We booked two nights at this hotel through Agoda: March 22&23. It was a “non refundable” option. Unfortunately our trip to Barcelona from Australia, was cancelled by Qatar Airways a few days before arrival, due to the conflict in Iran. We were unable to arrange a flight at such short notice. We contacted the hotel via the Agoda message system, as well as directly through the hotel’s email address: [email protected]. We explained our predicament, apologised sincerely for the situation and asked if there was a possibility of a refund or a credit voucher. We understood that they may not be able or willing to do this, and wished them well. There was NO REPLY to either communication. On the second day of our booking, we received a WhatsApp message from Jose Luis, noting our non arrival and hoping we hadn’t experienced any travel delays, and threatening to cancel our booking. “I’m here to help with anything you might need,” he wrote. We relied via WhatsApp immediately, advising that we had contacted them TWICE with no reply, and copied in the email (in Spanish and English). There was NO REPLY. We had to cancel SEVEN bookings for our Spain trip. EVERY host responded personally within 24 hours, with almost everyone providing a refund. It’s not the refunds that mattered: it was the personal interaction we really appreciated. This hotel FAILED the interaction process. Service and help? NIL. We’ll use a reputable company like Accor next time.
